The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose - to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
This valve lets you upgrade the shower valve in your RV or camper. Using the standard NPSM inlet shanks, slide the new valve and deck plate in place through the mounting holes. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the backside of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. The use of tub and tile caulk (not included) is required.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Phoenix faucets four inch dual-handle RV shower valve. This unit adds or replaces a shower valve in your RV shower. It's going to feature the dual smoked acrylic knobs. It gives the unit a really nice look. Here on the bottom, it's going to have the vacuum breaker outlet for attaching the handheld shower. Your handheld shower is not included.
The unit is also designed to prevent water back flow, which is going to help prevent contamination of your fresh water supply. This is made from a durable plastic construction and the color name of that mounting base area or the base of the unit, color name is biscuit. The mounting area does require two holes for your installation. These are going to be the connection points for your hot and cold water lines. This area is going to give us a separation on the center of right on four inches. They're going to measure, take a length measurement of those, they're going to measure about two inches long.
They're going to have an outer diameter of thirteen-sixteenths of an inch, with an inner diameter of around a half inch. The shower hose connection right here, that's going to have an outer diameter of thirteen-sixteenths of an inch. Taking a look at some of the overall dimensions, right here in the center it's going to give us a height measurement of about two and one-eighth of an inch. That's just the base area. Measuring edge to edge, we're looking at a measurement of about six and one quarter. Then measuring from that mounting base, or the base of the unit, to the outermost point of the hand knobs, we're looking at pretty close to three inches. It's a pretty simple installation.
It's going to come with the mounting nuts on it and it's going to come with the backing plate. It's also going to come with your detailed installation instructions. Right here, it's going to walk you through that process. It's going to show you the size of diameter holes that you need to have at the mounting location. It's also going to give you the appropriate height, which on here says about 45 to 48 inches above the floor line.
Then it just walks you through how to connect your water lines, and it's just going to go ove rsome helpful cleaning tips. You've got operating instructions, goes over the handles, cleaning tips, and just some helpful hints. Everything came in a timely fashion very well pleased
Really the faucet was installed last May. The RV has not had water to it. So have never tested the faucet. It was part of on going refurbishing of a 22 year old Class B+ RV that I bought a year ago. Also part of this work we've ordered and installed from e-trailer your Dometic 310 toilet, a MaxAir Fan, & other items all installed but some untested. The fan works great. The toilet seems to as we made sure the black and grey tanks were cleaned out well by pouring water down the drains and toilet. We will repeat this spring when it comes out of winter storage. The fresh water tank was removed to repair water damage below it and in the wall it blocked both. We also had to sanitize the tank due to mold entering it where previous owners allowed the air intake hose to flap about un-attached causing the leaks and water damage to the floor. We know the Ford Engine is in decent condition but due to so much unexpected work we are behind a good year getting Miss Mini Mo on the road and fully activated. She's come a long ways & with your help with parts like this. Which btw was almost identical to the one removed. We'll treat her with far more respect than the previous owners have. Thanks e-trailer no doubt we'll be back for more STUFF once we bring her out of winter storage.
I replaced the faucet in my 2014 Skyline SkyCat with this faucet. Two great features here: 1) The best feature is the attachment point for the shower hose. This one is on top of the faucet instead of underneath it. When you shut off the water it all drains down and out of the hose, making winterization a breeze. I don't have to detach the hose to drain it. 2) Since the shower hose attaches at the top, it will effectively be a little bit longer which is nice for taller people.
Lauren (customer service agent) was extremely knowledgeable and responsive to my questions to include my special request for expedited shipping (something not specifically listed on the web site). In addition, the details of the product were great; such that the specifications listed ensured that the product would be a applicable replacement for the defective item in our RV (unlike another, similar product that I ordered from an alternate source that didn't fit and will now have to be returned). Because etrailer orders are late and I’m not getting anything else there. They should ship their stuff with another shipper they will ship with UPS and that sucks.

Great service as always with etrailer. The faucet fit and works nice the only issue it is not white like the pic and description shows, it is more of an off white but it still looks ok in my shower.
We recieved this product yesterday and just installed it. I cannot comment on its longevity due to that, but after using it, I gotta say it is a definite improvement to the factory install in our camper, both in looks AND function. Also, we upgraded our shower head to Oxygenics Body Spa and the brushed nickel of this faucet matches the brushed nickel shower head PERFECTLY! Very happy with this.
Very poor construction ,it was fine at first but later, it would not shut off completely causing a lot of water loss.
It's beautiful and is a good quality plastic. It's hard to tell it's not "real" chrome! I love Phoenix brand a lot. Nice sink & shower upgrades to my rv so far!
I love, love, love the look of this shower faucet. You need to buy a separate shower head and hose kit. It really updates the look of our shower! It did take some work to install and a trip to a local RV store, but looks amazing and works great!
The faucet is much better quality than the one in my new LQ trailer. I liked that it has brass fittings instead of plastic. However...the connectors to the water lines are only 1.5" instead of 1.75" long. Connecting them with the (12B) plastic lock nut would not allow the faucet to be flush with the wall and the wall plate now has an opening that will allow water to get inside the wall. So I have to decide if caulking will work to seal the opening, get smaller lock nuts, or return this.
