Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Furrion Chill HE White Rooftop RV Air Conditioning System with a 15,000 BTU cooling capacity. Now this is a high-efficiency AC unit that'll replace or let you add a new Furrion Chill air conditioner onto your RV or camper. This here is the Furrion Chill HE Rooftop Air Conditioner. It's an aerodynamically-designed, mid-profile, high-efficiency air conditioner for your RV.
And this air conditioner will quickly and efficiently cool the interior of your RV or your camper. Uses a powerful high capacity compressor, which will cool down your RV faster. And it has a high energy efficiency ratio of seven to one to deliver more BTUs per unit of power. Now, the size on this unit itself, the length of it from front to back is gonna be about 34 and 13/16th inches long. The width side to side is 27 and 9/16th inches wide.
And the total height, which would be in the back here from the very bottom to the very top, is about 13 and 9/16th inches tall. Total weight on this unit is about 84 pounds. Now this kit will include everything I have shown here on the table: the air conditioner itself, the air distribution box right here, the single zone control box, the wall thermostat, hardware, and a nice instruction manual to describe how this gets all installed and how it operates. Now, I do wanna take the cover off of these units, so we can talk about the internal components. Now I have removed the screws.
This cover's held on by a few screws. I have taken those screws off, so we can lift the cover right off. And we'll just set that down right there. And then we're gonna zoom in. Go ahead and zoom in, so you can see the inside here.
It does use the dual motors. Let's turn it this way. And you can see there's dual motors right here. And this will allow these dual fans to move cool air faster, quieter, and more efficiently than a single motor. The condenser fan right over here has the condenser motor with it, and the evaporator fan over here has a fan with it. So that dual motor design helps that air conditioner start easier. And it does have a soft start feature, which means there's no extra start capacitor needed for this because it includes its own start capacitor. And I wanted to swing it over to the other side. And you'll be able to see right in this box here. This is where your start capacitor will be. This will offer an extra boost to help jumpstart your AC when a campsite or generator won't provide enough power. A 2200 watt generator will power this up. And it will store energy that'll later be used for the next startup. And then just swing it back by here. And then the extra parts, I'm gonna go ahead and zoom in on those parts here. The air distribution box we've mentioned, it has two slotted registers. One on this end. One on this end. And basically this will provide maximum air flow. The registers can be closed to divert more air to the ducts in a ducted system, or you can open 'em up just like that. They do use EVA foam on the installation materials for this. That adds a nice seal between your RV ceiling and this air distribution box to prevent any leaks. The single zone controller right here, this will let you control the temperature inside your RV. It has short-cycle protection, which ensures your RV reaches its temperature set point. And it uses automatic restart, which will restore most recent settings if there's a power interruption. The wall thermostat right here has a nice digital display on it. That'll show your settings, gives you five different operation modes, and three fan speeds to optimize temperature. And it even has a sleep setting to help keep your RV cool at night while saving power and reducing noise. Now the cover, I'm gonna go ahead and zoom back out here. This cover that I took off, it is a nice UV-resistant cover. This will protect the internal components from water and debris. If you notice on the inside, underneath the cover has this EPP foam housing, which is water and chemical resistant. It does also provide thermal insulation to regulate the temperature and prevent the motors from overheated. And then again, just to put your cover back on, all you have to do is line it up, drop it right into place. After you get it dropped into place then you put your screws back on to secure it. It is a bolt-on installation. As we mentioned, it is compatible with ducted or ductless systems. This does replace and work with your existing Furrion Chill AC setup. Now the mounting hardware to install this unit is not included. You would have to supply that. You can see this one is in a nice white color. They also offer it in a black, where this cover would be black, and it'll match the black base. We do sell that separately on our website. A few specs on this. The electrical rating is 115 volts, 60 hertz. Cooling capacity: 15,000 BTUs per hour. Power draw while this is running: 15.8 Amps. And it does use the refrigerant R410A. But that should do it for the review on this Furrion Chill HE White Rooftop RV Air Conditioner System with the 15,000 BTU cooling capacity..
