Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Furrion Chill HE White Rooftop RV Air Conditioner System, has a 13,500 Btu cooling capacity. Now, this is a high efficiency AC unit, this will replace or let you add a new Furrion Chill air conditioner on your RV or camper. This is a Furrion Chill HE rooftop air conditioner, it's aerodynamically designed, has a mid-profile, high efficiency air conditioner for your RV. Now, this air conditioner will quickly and efficiently cool the interior of your RV or camper, has a powerful high capacity compressor, which will cool down the RV faster, and the high energy efficiency ratio of 7 to 1 on it, delivers more Btus per unit of power. Just to give you an idea of the size of this unit, the length of it from the very back to the front, it's gonna be 34 13/16 inches long, the width on this unit, side to side, 27 9/16 inches wide, and the height, the tallest point being the very back right back here, so from the bottom to the very top is 13 9/16 inches tall.
The weight on this unit is 76 pounds. Now, this kit here will include everything I have laid out here on the table, it includes the air conditioner, the air distribution box, the single zone control box, the wall thermostat, comes with some installation hardware, and a nice instruction manual that'll describe how this all goes together and how it operates. Now, what I am gonna do is we're gonna talk about some of the internal components. Now, I've taken some screws out, so we can pop this cover off. So once we pop this cover off, we'll just set it aside.
And then what we're gonna do is I'm gonna zoom in, so we can look at the inside here. Now, this does use dual motors, and this'll allow the dual fans to move the cool air faster, quieter, and more efficiently than a single motor. Right over here you can see the condenser fan, it's connected to a motor right here, and then on this side, there's an evaporator fan connected to the motor here, and that dual motor design helps the air conditioner start easier. Also, what's nice on this unit, it does offer a soft start feature, and what that means is you don't need any extra start capacitor added to this, and the reason is they already include it. Right in this box here is the start capacitor, and that'll offer an extra boost to help jumpstart the AC when a campsite or a generator doesn't provide enough power.
This unit here, a 2,200 watt generator will power it up, and this will store energy that'll later be used for the next startup. Now, the cover we mentioned, let me zoom back out, or the cover that we took off right here, this is a nice UV resistant cover, it'll protect the internal components from any water and debris, and also, if you noticed, it does use this EPP foam housing, which is water and chemical resistant, plus, it gives thermal insulation, which will regulate the temperature and prevent the motors from overheating. Now, I do also wanna talk about these other units we mentioned right here, we'll zoom in on those parts. The air distribution box right here, if you noticed, it has two slotted registers, one here, one right here, and basically, these will provide maximum airflow. Basically, you can see they're open now, you can push them close to direct more air to the ducts in a ducted system, and if you open it up, you can just open it all the way if you need be.
This does include some EVA foam that's added to this that'll add a nice seal between this RV ceiling and this air distribution box to prevent any leaks. The single zone controller right here, this will let you control the temperatures inside your RV. They have short-cycle protection, which will ensure your RV reaches its temperature set point, and it even offers an automatic restart, which will restore most recent settings after power interruption. The wall thermostat here has a nice digital display on it, it'll show your settings, gives you five different operation modes, and also, three fan speeds to optimize the temperature, and it even offers a sleep setting that keeps your RV cool at night while you're saving power and reducing noise. Now, I'm gonna put the cover back on, and as I mentioned, it's just held on by a few screws, so when you do, if you ever do have to take it off, if you go to drop your cover back into place, you just line the holes up, make sure it's all set and nice, and then just put your screws back in to hold it into place just like that. Now, this is a bolt-on installation, this is compatible with ducted or ductless systems, it'll replace and work with your existing Furrion Chill AC setup. Now, the mounting hardware to install this unit is not included, you would've to supply that. This one you can see is a nice white color, we do also sell this unit in a black unit if you prefer, also as a kit, we do sell that separately in our website. Specs on this, the electrical rating is 115 volts, 60 hertz, cooling capacity we mentioned is 13,500 Btus per hour, and the power draw on this when it's running is 11.2 amps. It does use the refrigerant R410A. But that should do it for the review on this Furrion Chill HE White Rooftop RV Air Conditioner System with the 13,500 Btu cooling capacity..
