Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV Sewer Hose Hatch. This is designed for use with thin wall drain pipe. Pipe is not included. It does come with a pre-installed key lock, so it's going to add security. It's also going to come with two keys. Very easy to open and close.
Place the key in there, rotate it quarter of a turn. That's going to open your lid. You can see also with the lid open, that allows you to gain access to the pre-drilled mount holes. Mounting hardware is included and the tips of the screws are painted black to match the color of the hatch. I do want to point out that it also comes with an optional thumb lock, for those that prefer a non-key lock hatch door. This thumb lock simply replaces the key lock.
The unit is constructed of a UV stabilized ABS plastic that's black in color. It is a recessed mount installation. It does come with the installation putty tape and mounting hardware. Take a look at the overall dimensions going edge to edge this direction. It's going to give us a measurement of about 7 and 5/8 of an inch. Going this direction, edge to edge, that's going to measure about 6 and 1/2 inches.
The cutout, that's this box right here. Cutout's gonna give us a measurement of about 5 and 7/8. This is the size of whole that you'll need, by 4 and 3/4 of an inch. The depth of that, measuring that box is about 2 inches all the way back to this pipe area here is about 2 5/8 of an inch. Circular area is going to give us an inter diameter 4 and 1/4.
Outer diameter of 4 1/2. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra RV Sewer Hose Hatch.

perfect fit and good quality
