Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra replacement access hatch for RVs. This unit adds or replaces an access hatch on your RV, boat, or horse trailer. It can be used for many different applications. It's going to have the mount hole pattern that matches most original hatch rings. It easily provides access to plumbing, electrical, and cargo areas as well as hose compartments. It's going to feature a waterproof seal to prevent leakage.
The unit's constructed of a ABS construction and the unit's white in color. It's going to feature a UV-resistant design. f we take a diameter measurement of the opening, that's going to give us a measurement of four inches. Outer diameter, edge to edge is five and three quarters of an inch. Then if we do a center on center, the distance between our mount holes going straight across, that's going to give us a measurement of five and one-eighth inches. It gets frustrating that when you go to your local RV center for parts and they give the deer in the head lights look. I now just log on to your web site and order the part. It's sometimes better than factory parts.
This is the best Access I have seen. It is solid. Note: The holes in this unit will match the OEM screw holes. [Take off the old unit, clean off the old caulk while it is easy, and put this unit in.]
