The Cummins motor is one of the most powerful motors ever put in a pickup truck. The Edge EZ module unleashes the potential of this monster by carefully monitoring RPM, timing, turbo boost pressure and fueling parameters and adjusting fueling and timing to maximize power, torque, and driveability.
The Power Edge EZ is a plug-in module that maximizes engine efficiency by monitoring the RPM, timing, turbo boost pressure and fueling parameters. The module uses this information to determine and control both fueling and timing enhancements for the Bosch fuel injection pump. The re-mapping of the fueling and timing parameters is done via the CAN-BUS communication system. The CAN-BUS protocol is used to communicate between the Cummins Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Bosch fuel injection pump. All data sent from the EZ is within the limits of the Bosch fuel injection pump. This enables smooth and predictable power delivery without compromising integrity. This increase in power does not increase the exhaust smoke from a stock engine.
The Edge EZ allows maximum fueling at full turbo boost and provides an additional 65-rear wheel horsepower, an additional 180 foot pounds of torque and installs in minutes. Simply plug the EZ connectors into the ECM Data Link connection and MAP sensor. There's no need to unplug the Bosch fuel injection pump connector. The Edge EZ module is completely weatherproof and mounts easily under the hood.
The EZ can also be stacked with other upgrades to deliver even more power. There is not an upgrade on the market today that can deliver as much power and install so simply.
The connectors plug into the MAP sensor and Data Link connector.
The included brass elbow permits turbo boost pressures of greater than 20 psi without the wastegate opening. The EZ module will operate equally well with or without this installed.

exactly what I needed!!This product is exactly what I needed towing my 5th wheel. I leave it on the lowest setting and have plenty of power with decent mileage. Just took a trip without trailer, drove 70-75 mph and got 21-22 mpg. 2003 4x4 w/ manual transmission. I highly recommend this product.

Just installed yesterday, Seems like product does what is says. The package says installs in 5 minutes, But reality the first time is a little longer like at least a hour or so. Called edge tech support a couple of times with questions. They were helpful.

- Is the Dyno Sources Raptor the Same Thing as an Edge ProgrammerI spoke with my contact over at Edge and he said that he hasn't even heard of Dyno Sources or the Raptor so it is likely a similar tuner but not exactly the same thing. I was unable to find much of any information on Dyno Sources other than people talking about it in forums.

To change the settings you would use an allen wrench to remove the two screws on the front panel. On the other side of the panel you will see 3 jumper settings. The jumper should be positioned in the right most location unless it has been changed before. You can move the jumper once to the left for level 2 or all the way to the left for level 1. If the unit is used then even if it did fit you would have to re-register the device with Edge which does cost a fee so just so you are aware of that. For a 2001 with the 5.9 liter I6 diesel motor you can use # EZD1000A.
