Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're taking a look at this Superwinch neoprene winch cover. Now this cover is going to protect your winch while it is not in use as it sits on the front of your vehicle. Let's take a closer look at this cover together. Now this cover fits the SX Series winches and Talon 9.5 integrated solenoid winches. The specific model numbers are listed on this product page.
And to demonstrate how this cover fits, I have it sitting on top of a Superwinch SX10SR integrated off-road winch. Now this cover is going to keep your winch from getting exposed to rain, dirt, mud, salt, bugs. It's gonna keep unwanted objects out of the winch motor, the rope, and components. And ultimately, what it's going to do is prolong the life of your winch. Now this cover is made out of a durable dive suit quality neoprene material.
Let me see if I can give you a kind of a closer look at this. It has UV inhibitors and it has a heavy-duty stitching for lasting protection. And this cover feels durable. I think it's not only gonna protect your winch from elements getting inside, but especially moisture, rain. I think it's going to do a great job at keeping the rain off of your winch.
Now this does close or fasten rather around your winch using this drawstring. And so let me bring this around and what I have discovered, now keep in mind, I do have some cables here on the back that will probably be unrolled and hooked up when you're using this cover while the winch is installed. So I'm kind of going around those cables a little bit. You probably won't necessarily be doing that when this winch is installed. But what I've been doing to make sure that this has a nice, secure fit is I just pull the drawstring and I push in the core lock, and just pull that drawstring, make it nice and tight.
And then I've just been going around the winch itself to make sure that it is staying snug. And then I just keep pulling a few more times to make sure that we have a nice, tight fit, and I believe we've got it. So that's gonna be nice and tight and secure. And that core lock is gonna do a great job keeping that drawstring cinched around the base of your winch. Now just some overall measurements. Measuring the length from seam to seam, at the longest point, this is gonna be sitting right at about 23 1/2 inches long. And then in regards to the depth of the cover at its deepest point here, again, from seam to seam, this is gonna be about six inches deep. And then the height, right at the highest point, again, measuring from seam to seam, we're gonna be sitting right at about nine inches tall. Now this cover, as you can see, is black in color. It does have the Superwinch logo on the front. And this does have a one-year limited warranty. Protect your Superwinch winch from dirt and debris when not in use with this neoprene cover. Fits SX series winches and Talon 9.5 integrated solenoid winches.the cover itself seems great. however, it does not securely fit due to the winch power cables preventing the use of draw string. so I placed two grommets on frontside and backside of the cover, then used nylon utility rope (3/16") to secure by running the rope under the winch. If manufactured in this manner, it would be an excellent product.
It's a great cover, and quality build. However, my set up does not have the clearance on the back of the winch in between the bumper to fit the cover properly. Therfore, the cover has been riding under my seat.
