Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located beneath the floor of your rear cargo area. You will need to remove either the spare tire or center storage bin to access the wiring harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, open your fuse box and locate the fuse position indicated in the instructions. Then insert the included 15-amp fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within the spare tire compartment of your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system.This kit worked very well for my 2010 Honda Crosstour. Honda had tucked the plug I needed for the installation up inside the body of the car and it required a mirror to be able to locate the connector. Once connected and fused the 4 pole wiring harness worked great. This was much easier than the last 4 pole harness I installed on a Rav4.
This may have been one of the easiest wiring installations i have ever done. The hardware was perfect and the instructions were spot on and walked through step by step

Everything I was sent was all correct and either mounted right up or plugged right in great product and everything came rather quick
I purchased this to go with my new trailer hitch. The installation was exceedingly simple as it only involved removing a bit of trim from the trunk area and attaching the box to the factory wiring harness. The only thing I don't like about it the fuse is very close to the harness which means you have to disassemble the same trim to replace a blown fuse.
This is the second trailer wiring kit I've had to buy for my 2011 RDX. The wiring kit fits perfectly. The connector is right where the directions say it is, and all of the connectors work. However, my first one lasted through 2 U-Haul rentals, then stopped working outside of warranty. I don't know why it failed - the fuse is good and none of the wires were frayed. I'll install this new kit and see how long it lasts.
If the installation of a wiring harness could be any easier, I can't imagine how. I installed this harness on our 2010 RDX, and things went pretty much like clockwork. I made more work for myself than necessary by removing some of the trim pieces on the driver's side. I really just needed to remove the two barbed trim fasteners for the rear sill plate and the two on the passenger-side. Then with the spare tire removed, I was able to partially lift the molded styrofoam block on the passenger side to see the blue-taped trailer connector pigtail. I just cut the blue tape with a pocket knife, and pulled the pigtail out far enough to connect to the new harness; then slipped the connection back under the styrofoam block. Then it was just a matter of peeling the plastic off of the double-stick tape on the control module (black box) and affixing it to the "forward" wall of the spare tire bay. At least on a 2010 RDX, this is truly a 15-20 minute jog.
Finally, I tip my cap to etrailer.com. The ordering process was flawless, the delivery was lightning fast (23 hours), the directions were clear, and the video library was very helpful. Salute!
I had been researching the best product to fit my needs and this one was it. I selected this product because of the protection the module would provide to my cars electrical system. When I received the product and read the instructions and saw how easy this would be I immediately started and I was done in fifteen minutes. And that was because I wanted to do a custom install for the location of the plug for the trailer. So far so good. I tested it with my trailer and all lights, turn signal and stop lights functioned perfectly. Thank you for making this so easy!!!
The wiring harness was very easy to install, only taking about 10 minutes. The instructions were great and after watching the video, I had confidence that I could do it. Thank you, etrailer.
Installed in 2010 Crosstour in about 15 minutes. Easy to do. Directions could be a little better but still easy. Just need to remove the small bin in luggage area on drivers side. Just one bolt to remove (easy to replace). Fuse goes in the “trailer” socket in fuse box. It doesn’t sit down as far as the other fuses, but it seats in the socket fine.
First off let me say etrailer is Official! So I purchased a tow hitch 1st it came....... Then a week later I purchased a ball mount, ball, and tow light kit and was upgraded to 3-5 day shipping and received it in 3 days and they made sure I was updated along the way! Couldn't be more Impressed!!! Thank You etrailer you have a customer for life, I will tell anyone I know that is looking for trailer accessories.

Received the wiring harness on time and installed it in my 2007 Acura RDX with no problem with the click of a connector, couldn't be easier. Checked out the connection with a led tester and all worked as planned. The real story will be tomorrow morning when I hook it up to tow my popup camper home from the dealer.
Plug and Go! The etrailer.com site made is very easy for me to locate the exact wiring match for my vehicle (2011 Acura RDX). It arrived faster than I expected, the directions were very clear and easy. I plugged in, hooked up my trailer and hit the road with all lights operating properly.

The ONLY item t o mention, is the 15amp fuse works- but does not fit all the way down even with the other oem 15amp fuses. The Honda oem fuses are slightly different & fit down INSIDE the holders. The 15amp fuse supplies with this unit plugs into the stabs ok, but will not fit down inside like the others.. I dont think I matters...

Pops right in, just reach under the foam block to the right of the spare tire. Grommets are available to send the wires through the body, but you'll have to splice the wires back into each other.
I have never bought anything that came with video instructions an a well planned photocard on how to use and install a product installed it myself in about 40 minutes I took my time. Works as expected and would recommend this product to others. Plug and play trailer wiring for later model honda.

The harness Itself is an excellent product. It was a perfect fit for my 2011 RDX. Could not have been easier to connect.
However detailed instruction on how to remove the styrofoam and trim moldings would have been extremely helpful. The included instructions advise to anchor the harness using the double stick tape on a flat surface beneath the styrofoam trim. No guidance on how to get the styrofoamfoam out of the way.
