For your 2008 Acura RDX, we have the 1-1/4" Curt Hitch # 13536 that is confirmed to fit . Also, Curt requires the use of a stabilization strap, like part # 18050, when carrying any non-trailer loads such as a bike rack or cargo carrier.
If you choose to tow a trailer, you will want to get a ball mount like Curt Class II Drawbar # C45503, but you will want to make sure you have the right rise or drop on your ball mount to tow a trailer level. You will also want a hitch ball in either a 1-7/8" like Tow Ready's # 19256 or a 2" hitch ball like # 19258.
If you will be towing, you will also need a wiring harness. I'd recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Connector for your 2008 Acura RDX, # 118500.
