Installation
This custom-fit T-One harness splices into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, on the driver's side and passenger's side. You will have to remove the floor coverings, storage trays, spare tire, and some internal paneling to access this harness. Once you've spliced in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

This is the second Tekonsha custom fit vehicle wiring kit for a trailer hitch I've purchased from etrailer.com and both have been perfect. First was on a '15 Ford Escape Titanium and the videos were a life-saver. Perfect in every way. A year ago I purchased a '19 Lincoln MKC and everything fit perfectly... eventually! Great instructions, (almost) all the right parts, and plenty of wiring, videos and personal customer service. The best customer service I've ever experienced, came with a phone call directly to etrailer.com. The person who answered the phone for technical support owned the phone call and my questions immediately and had every workaround known at the time. Great experience. I said "almost", above. Let me explain. Please refer to the pictures - they will be self explanatory. The manufacturer sent spade connectors attached to correct wiring, as shown. I had to snip those off and install male disconnects to properly attach them to the existing wiring. No problem... figured that out by myself. Then this is where etrailer.com and I became best friends: There are 3, yes 3, purple/orange wires all in the same wrap, again, pictured. With about as much patience known to mankind, the etrailer.com technical support person stayed on the phone for an eternity with me until I (we) figured out which wire was "the one". This is in the right hand cluster. Left hand cluster was straight forward, as shown. The only vague printed instructions were the connection to the battery, which I did at the back of the SUV, with an available terminal right there on the right side with a little door that opened up to reveal a fuse panel and a couple of battery posts, avoiding the need to run that dreaded yellow wire all the way to the front for connection to the battery. With all connections in place, I finally released my new best friend at etrailer.com and went away as a happy customer once again. Two for two. It's the only place I'll ever shop for trailer stuff. With professional sales and especially after-sales support, these people are the best at what they do. I'm from Canada, and there is nothing that even comes close to this product availability and service after sale here. Thanks to the gang down at etrailer.com.
Easy to install with the videos help.
I truly appreciate you reaching out, however, I had some major concern with the parts I recently ordered from you guys. I had two mechanics come by to install it then we ran into some major difficulties like the trailer hitch appeared to be too long, one of the side plates was not sitting properly. I've already called and spoke with one of the rep "Lori" with the extension #79514 and she asked for the parts number then stated that was the right one for the Lincoln MKC but she was unsure if it will make a difference because I couldn't tell if the Lincoln MKC is a Select, Reserve or Black Label. Miss Lori was able to provide several names to within 30-40 miles away that are authorised and certified mechanics who might be able to confirm the part then to send it to you guys. I was very worried and concerned when I placed that order, I called and spoke with 3 different reps who confirmed that will be the correct part. I would like to talk to someone who might be able to confirm that for me please prior going to the shop this coming Friday at 9:00am
Great dealing with etrailer . Will continue to consider etrailer on future . Only issue @ installation was wire color coding on vehicle, disclaimer was probe wires to find actual correct wiring.
The hitch and the wire harness are bot a perfect match to my care.
In addition to that customer service provided me with great installation instructions and a video. As I needed this in a hurry, it shipped in a day and arrived at my house
with time to spare. E-Trailer is by far the very best place to support your trailer needs.
