Will Hands-Free Liftgate on 2017 Lincoln MKC Still Work With Trailer Hitch Installed
Question:
I have a Lincoln 2017 mkc reserve with the hands free option for the rear deck. Does the hands free option remain functional with the Draw tite hitch? Does the installation require relocating or disabling the switch?

Yes, the hands-free liftgate on your 2017 Lincoln MKC will still work when the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75943 is installed.
It will be necessary for you to kick your foot on either side of the hitch receiver (the middle of the hitch) but you will not need to relocate or disable the sensor. I have added a link to a video of this hitch being installed on a MKC for you to take a look at.
If you are going to be towing you can add wiring which will give you a 4-way connector and allow you to power your trailer's lights. For that you will need Wiring Harness # 118284. It is also recommended you use Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector, which will increase its durability and extend its lifespan.
I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which is for 2” hitches and may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise. I've also attached a link to our pages with each of our ball mounts for you to check out.
