Which Ballmount for Curt C13194 Class III Hitch on 2019 Lincoln MKC
Question:
Im was going to purchase a Curt hitch for a 2019 Lincoln MKC. I read that the ball 2 Inches will be 12 inches from the ground. My Boat Trailer , at level, is 16inch which is perfectly level boat 1000 lb at most. I dont know what to buy to raise the ball 4. Can you please help me ? I have one of your hitches on my car but I have traded it in for this Lincoln MKC 2019

When we installed the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13194 on a Lincoln MKC, we found that the inside top edge of the receiver sat 12-1/2 inches above the ground. The the bottom edge of your boat trailer sits at 16 inches with the trailer level, you'll want to use a ball mount with a rise to raise the trailer ball by about 4 inches. That way, once the trailer is hitches up, the rear of the vehicle will squat a bit which will place the trailer very close to level.
I'd recommend the Curt # D-28 ball mount along with the # 63845 trailer ball. If you don't already have a hitch pin, you'll also need part # PC3.
You'll also need a trailer wiring harness like part # 118284 which splices into the taillight wiring harness as outlined in the linked instructions. I've linked to an install video for the # C13194 hitch.
