Jeff Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at the Surface Mount Waterproof LED Boat Accent Light, with the blue LEDs. Now this LED light will provide a nice bright blue light for your boat. So this light's great for upgrading or replacing your accent, your step, walkway or even underwater lighting. The light output on this light is 240 lumens.

At the end of this video, I'm going to hook this up to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright the light is and the color of the light. First wanna go through a few features on it. Has a nice sealed waterproof housing and lens unit which is submersible. It does have an IP 68 rating, which means it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of five feet underwater for up to 30 minutes. It does use military grade construction of the circuit board, which means it uses Urethane potting which gives you a better protection than the common epoxy potting.

And the LEDs on this, they are premium LEDs. They are energy efficient, long lasting, vibration resistant. They are rated up to 50,000 hours of operation. And if you notice it is a clear lens over the three blue LEDs. Now this light is compatible with 12 volt DC system.

To install this, it is a surface-mount installation. It does require either a vertical or horizontal mounting cover that will let you mount this. Those items we do sell separately on our website and they are listed on this product page as a related product. Now, the mounting hardware is not included. This does hard wire to your application.

You can see it as a two-wire design, a power wire and a ground wire. The wire length on this light is about seven inches. The input voltage nine volts to 14 volts, power draw is 0.12 to 0.14 amps. Give you the dimensions and then we're gonna go ahead and hook it up to some power. So if we do the length one into the other is two and one eighth inches long, width of it is five eights of an inch and the depth is also five eights of an inch. So we're gonna go ahead and hook this up And once you get it hooked up I'll go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power. And you can see the blue LEDs light up. Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see the color they give off. And it's 240 lumens, so it's a very bright light. You can see the area it covers. Let me even zoom out just to show you from a distance how much light it does give off. We'll go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights go and turn off the power.
