Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this TecNiq Dragon Oval Waterproof Blue LED Boat Accent Light. Now this is a small oval LED light that omit a blue light for improved visibility and accent lighting aboard your boat. This will help you light up cabinets, steps, walkways, and other areas of your boat's interior. You can see it has a sealed waterproof unit, includes a nice durable polycarbonate housing, and a UV resistant lens. The construction is a military grade construction of a circuit board and if you look on the back, they actually use a urethane potting, which gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting.

This does have an IP68 rating. Now they do use premium LEDs on this. They are energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant, and are rated for up to about 50,000 hours of operation. Now I do have this hooked up to some 12 volt power, so I am gonna turn it on to show you how bright the light is and the color of the light. So we'll go ahead and hit our power, and you can see the four blue LEDs light up.

Turn off our overhead. And there you can see how bright it is, very bright light. It is a clear lens over four blue LEDs. It is compatible with 12 volt DC systems, and the light output is about 32 lumens. We'll go ahead and turn our light back on, turn off our power, disconnect it.

Now this is a surface mount installation. It mounts using a protective cover which we do sell separately on our website. And lots of times they are usually listed on this product page as a related product. You can get the covers for this. They're an oval cover and they come available in a white, a black, or a stainless steel.

Now they do attach by two screws. You can see with the holes here. Now the hardware to install it with the cover is not included. This does hardwire to your application. It's a two wire design, a positive and a negative and a wired length that gives you is about nine inches. A few specs on this, the overall length, and if you can see, it is an oval design, you can see the, it's clear out there, so we're gonna measure overall, from one end to the other, it's right at 1-3/8". The width of it right at 3/4" and the total depth on it is right at a 1/2" deep. Now the distance between the mounting holes center to center, it's right at 1". Now the light output we had mentioned is 32 lumens, input voltage, nine volts to 14 volts, and the power draw is 0.04 to 0.07 amps.
