Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today I have the replacement hardware for your Yakima OffGrid basket. If you are installing the extension or you just need to install the two parts of your basket and maybe your hardware is already rusted or maybe you lost it, well, this is gonna be the replacement hardware for you. On the OffGrid basket you're gonna see the connecting points so that's gonna be that red connector as well as the bolts, and underneath you're gonna find a plate as well as bolts. That is part of your replacement hardware bag. They're usually included with your basket, but for some reason you don't have them this is gonna be the parts for you.
The process for putting together your OffGrid basket is very simple, and it only requires two Allen keys. So these are four millimeter Allen keys, and one of them though is a special security wrench with a hole in the middle. And that's why you definitely need to use the hardware bag, and if you don't have that security key you can also find it separately here at etrailer on its own. So I have my replacement parts right here. Now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna install the extension piece onto our basket and show you how that process goes.
And that's gonna be the same thing whether you have the medium basket, the large basket, through using extension piece or not. These parts will work the same way. Let's take a look at that. So I start by just lining it up with those side rails, and then we're gonna fit our brackets in and through. With the bottom brackets in place, flip it over so you can do the side rails.
There's two pieces. There's the bottom receiver and then the top bolt. Now, do that for all of the four connecting pieces. With all the connector pieces tightened down and your brackets tightened down, you can now move your crossbars if you want to where it will fit your accessory. So here I have a friend, Aiden, to help me out.
We're getting the basket up and onto the roof. If needed, you may need to move your clamps to match your crossbars. Hopefully this video helped you out with figuring out what parts you actually need, if this is the right part for you, as well as how to install them. And if you're still not sure, check out our product pages. We have the descriptions with all the part numbers and measurements just to make sure you get the right ones for you.
