Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima replacement mounting hardware set. This is gonna replace all of the hardware needed to mount a Yakima roof-mounted ski and snowboard carrier to a roof rack. This is gonna fit with the Powderhound and Buttondown models that we're manufactured before 2006. So you can see all those model numbers on the screen there. So if you have any of those, this is going to be an exact replacement for all the hardware from Yakima, so you can trust it is going to fit.
No worries about fit issues or compatibility problems, anything like that. You are going to get four of these vertical snars as well as four of the carriage bolts and four wing keys. So if you already needed to replace any piece of that original hardware set, this is gonna be exactly what you need. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

The product performed as advertised. The installation was quite simple and the new Yakima brackets secured the older Yakima Ski Racks to and older Thule square crossbar. Thank You
The Q&A on the site was very helpful on identifying the part that I needed. I have an older Yakima Buttondown 4 ski rack that had the factory aero bars adapter for the rack. I have a Innorack square bar set up I moved from one of my vehicles and needed these adapters to use the ski rack with it.
Worked awesome! I wanted a way to mount my light bar to my existing Thule rack without drilling or using a bunch of weird adapters. These mounts worked awesome to mount my light bar, after hours of research I found this is the ONLY mount to do the job simply and easily. I cut the inside piece to allow it to fit on my standard square (rectangular) Thule bar.

The plastic pieces that wrap around the bar (SNARs) do not work with square Thule Bars, they only work with round Yakima bars. Yakima does make different SNARs that work with both square and round bars, but this kit does not include that type of SNAR. Great product when I received the mounts I was able to install sameday with ease. I havent put the skis in yet but should be great replacement for the mounts which I had been using. Worked perfect with the 10 to 15 year old yakima button ski rack mounting on round bars.

Arrived quickly, fits my Yakima bike racks for securement to my square bars. Also could be used with other Yakima Products so an all in one purchase for a multitude of potential racks.
Ordered these parts to fit an old Yakima rack to a Thule bar. Had to do some cutting of the plastic insert to fit it properly which was a bit difficult but it now fits just fine with lesser cost than the mighty mount option.
Lost two brackets for my Yakima ski mounts and jumped online to buy replacements. Arrived super fast, fit perfectly and now I don't even use the old hardware.

worked as designed. Used to put ski holders on square bars (rectangular but they call them square). you just have to cut out the inside pieces that adapt them to round bars.
