Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement hardware bag for your Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers. Now this replacement hardware bag is for your Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers. Does include the four tower handles right here. It includes the four clip spacers and then the four end caps for your roof rack crossbars. Again, the application for these parts is the Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers, which is part number Y00101, and the high rise towers, part number 8000104.
Both of those items we do sell separately on our website. Now the tower handles, which are these items right here, they use the same key system. They're lockable by putting the SKS lock cores in there. And those lock cores we do sell separately on our website. Basically, these handles will tighten or loosen your tower grip on your vehicle rain gutters.
The clip spacers right here, these provide the wider grip on your vehicle. And then these end caps is what'll install into the ends of your crossbars. But that should do it for the review on the replacement hardware bag for the Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers.

I was very happy to find these Yakima parts at etrailer. In fact, they seemed to be the only vendor that had the parts I needed. I purchased some Yakima components used and the 1A raingutter towers were lacking the housing for the locks, which I didn't realize at the time. This package included new locking handles which will receive the lock cores I ordered from Yakima (to match two I already had) as well as end plugs for the crossbars, which I needed as well.

I bought some used Yakima towers [online] and while their structure was good some of the hardware on them was beat up. These were just the ticket to make them good as new.

I reached out to my tech contact at Yakima and the most cost efficient option for the upgrade is to use the Replacement Hardware Bag for Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers # Y8810136 and then use the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4) # Y07204 which will come with two keys. Your only other option is to call a local locksmith to have them make a key compatible with your old lock cores.

Due to supply chain issues last year, I got Raingutter Towers from sneezbay to replace my 20 yo originals. I got the replacement hardware package from etrailer, along with new locks and bar end caps. NOT ONE SINGLE issue!! I replaced my Tepui Kukenam RTT with an iKamper 2X. Thanks etrailer in assisting during that time!
