Super fast shipping. Arrived in 2 days. Excellent product. Function, fit and finish is great.

by:

I have an older Holdup model, but this current one fits just perfect. They have improved the wheel strap design, and include a few extra parts—such as the hitch pin, and pin that locks the rack in the upright position. It was nice to replace a few beat up parts! The keyed locks did not match my original, but Yakima has a process to request new ones. Really happy with it—and glad etrailer doesn’t have an oversized freight charge for shipping!

by:

Did not get this far. Wrong hitch bolt

by:

Very happy with etrailer and the add on bike carrier. Excellent communication throughout and felt very comfortable though the shipping and receiving even though it was during shortages and covid.

by:

This rack is heavy once attached to the base unit, but ROCK SOLID! I have no worries of bikes shifting or bouncing around. It takes two people to install and remove the rack when set up for all four bikes. If i am only taking 1-2 bikes, I definitely remove this from the base unit to make it more manageable.

by:

Ultra heavy-duty setup and the weight capacity crushes everything else on the market. Pair the four bike setup (HoldUp and a Plus 2) with a BackSwing for the ultimate bike hauling experience. Works with large and heavy bikes, ala electric.

by:

Great price on the +2 extender for my Holdup. Just installed with no issues, thanks to clear instructions from the etrailer.com website.

by:

Great to purchase from etrailer as always. Prompt service and delivery. Will always do business with them.

by:

Delivered on the estimated date in perfect condition at a great price.

by:

Great product and service. thanks

by:

  • Tilt Away Bike Rack Options for 2013 Hyundai Tucson
Of the options that you have researched and the points you identify, I suggest the Yakima HoldUp # Y02443. This is a highly reviewed product and currently has a 4.8 rating. With your concerns of damage to your bikes painted surface this is good option since it secures the bikes without frame contact. The versatile design holds most bikes regardless of frame design, suspension, or brake style and provides your desired tilt down option. It also has available add-on that lets you convert...

  • Hitch Bike Rack for Four E-Bikes
The Thule EasyFold XT 2 E-Bike Platform, part # TH903202, does not have an add-on for additional bikes, but we do offer an alternative that will get you what you need. It's the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack, part # Y02443, combined with its 2-bike add-on, the Plus 2 Add-on, part # Y02446. These two together will allow you to carry up to four backs and maintain the same tilt-away and fold-up features of the Thule XT 2. I've included a video review of the two Yakima parts together. • Yakima HoldUp Plus Two Extension Part # Y02446
The Yakima HoldUp Plus 2 is intended to be used with the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike rack, part # Y02443. It slides into the end of the bike rack, and is held in place by a retaining pin. The wheels of the bike rest in the wheel hoops, and the padded ratcheting hook secures the bike from the top of the wheel. I will provide a link to the instructions for the HoldUp. You can find the links below. I have also linked you to some product demonstration videos you might find helpful.

  • Comparing the Thule T2 and Yakima HoldUp Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Racks for a 2011 Mazda CX-9
Bike racks are not vehicle specific there are just some that vehicle owners purchase more often for certain vehicles than others. Since you have a 2 inch trailer hitch on your 2011 Mazda CX-9, you can use the Yakima HoldUp, # Y02443. The Thule T2, # TH83GC will also fit. I have linked video reviews of both racks for you. The Holdup has a capacity of 60 pounds per bike and the T2 has a 50 pound per bike capacity. The HoldUp will accept 14 to 29 inch bike wheels. The T2 will accept 20 to...

I have a perfect solution for you. To convert your Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02445 for use with the 2 inch receiver on your new vehicle, you can simply replace the tongue with the Yakima # 8880580. This is compatible with the 1-1/4 inch models to convert it for use with 2 inch receivers and is completely safe to use. It includes the updated latching spring pin. • Best E Bike Carrier for a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe for Girls E-Bikes
For any kind of an alternate frame e-bike, your best rack is always going to be a wheel-mount, platform style carrier that fits into a trailer hitch. This is because the weight capacity and ease of loading are the best possible solution for carrying your e-bikes safely and easily. One of my favorite racks for e-bikes is the Yakima HoldUp, part # Y02443 . It is a wheel mount carrier that can hold a massive 60lbs per bike on a Class III hitch. It includes an integrated hitch and cable lock...

  • Alternative Bike Rack to Kuat NV 2.0 Base for 2020 Kia Sportage
The Kuat NV 2.0 Base # BA22B is probably my favorite bike rack that we carry, and part of that is because you can add the extension # BA02B down the road if need be. An alternative option that I like is the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02443 which is comparable on all metrics aside from that it can only handle up to 3" wide tires as opposed to 4.8" wide tires like the Nv 2.0 Base. You can eventually add the Plus 2 2-Bike Add-On # Y02446 and then if you want to match all of the lock cores...

Instead you would need the Replacement Tongue for Yakima HoldUp Bike Racks # 8880580 which will also allow you the ability to expand the rack using the Plus 2 2-Bike Add-On for Yakima HoldUp for 2" Hitches # Y02446 if you desire.

Because it's recessed under the bumper pretty far, unfortunately the shank of the Thule TH44VR Helium wouldn't be able slide into the receiver tube far enough for the hitch pin hole in the shank to line up with the hole in the receiver. • Recommended Hitch Mount Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes
My favorite bike rack to recommend for electric bikes is the RockyMounts Backstage, part # RKY10002. It carries 2 bikes up to 60 pounds each so it'll handle yours just fine. The thing I like about it most is that it swings completely away from the vehicle, with the bikes loaded, to access to rear. Take a look at the video I attached. Between the bike racks that you mentioned, Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV, the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G, and the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack # Y02443, I recommend the Yakima HoldUp rack because it fits you application the best. The Yakima bike rack can carry a wheel diameter between 14-29 inches. Being able to carry a tire as low as 14 inches will allow to carry the smaller child's bikes. Kuat and Thule have a 20 inch minimum on their wheel diameter. Also, the when folded up the Yakima rack measures...

  • Quality Hitch Bike Rack Recommendation for 4 New Mountain Bikes with Disc Brakes
Another 4 bike rack I would have you consider is the Yakima HoldUp, item # Y02443, along with the Plus 2 Adapter for HoldUp 2 Bike Carrier, 2 inch Hitches, item # Y02446. This rack is a wheel mount style for ease of loading and unloading the bikes and secures the bikes, keeping them from contacting each other or the back of the vehicle. This style is also a good choice for mountain bikes with suspensions because it is it does not compress the frame of the bike and wear the shocks.
