What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out the hitch ball and base combo for your trailer valet or the trailer dolly here. So it's going to come with the 2-5/16 inch ball and the base to mount to it. So let's check it out. Now this combo's going to come with everything you see here. So we're going to have the base you can thread the ball into.
We have the plate that we'll put through. Then the lock washer goes on there. Just thread it in, get it hand tight and then we'll add it to the RVR12. Now then hand tighten and drop the base down in. Line up the holes here on the sides so we can run our pin through, and attach it.
Then we'll come back with the tool and tighten this down. Now this is a replacement part but I also think you could do this as an add-on. If you buy this combo with the two-inch ball. Let's say you use the 2-5/16 inch variant the most but you have another trailer that you have to switch out of every once in a while, you don't want to have to loosen this all the way and do that process every time. You can get another combo or just another two inch ball, add it to the base.
Then all you have to do once it's tight, pull that pin, remove it, drop the other one in place and that's all you have to do to switch it out for a different trailer. The ball and the base with the plate are made out of a sturdy steel construction with a zinc nickel alloy finish on it so you don't have to worry about it rusting and corroding on you. Overall, I really like the fact that you can get this as a replacement part. Just in case you lost or something broke, you can get a new ball and the base. Or if you just want to switch it out quicker when you're using different trailers, that's an option too.

Vicki, Thanks for the great follow-up. Your support has been awesome, I'm not sure what caused UPS to change the delivery order status as we both understood this was supposed to be 2 day delivery. The product did arrive Saturday a day later than preferred but far better than Monday. We had just finished getting our storage cover on our camper but after loosening a few tie downs could still use the XL Trailer Valet to position our camper for the winter. I appreciate your support, our new trailer has a 2 5/16" receiver which was not known until we picked up the new 2023 trailer as all our trailers in the past were 2" receivers. Item came in box that was on the verge of disintegrating. Also don't understand why TrailerValet leaves it up to customer to tighten the ball to base. There is no easy way to do this!

I often times try to economize, figured I paid quite a bit for the trailer valet. OMG, one of my best purchases ever. This thing lets me safely and relatively easily put my rather large RV trailer into the garage single handedly. Way better than with a spotter and pushing with the tow vehicle. Wish I had purchased one sooner. I really love how well it works and the quality of the unit is superb.

the ball and base for trailer valet xl trailer dolly, I had made a a dolly and needed some sort of a coupling. I looked at trailer web sight and found this, Now I see the problem with my dolly ( It would lift up and not move the trailer ) I bought this and IT SOLVED my problem. Very pleased with it. now for the rack and stove burner liners, my wife has been hounding me for these two items for our camper, I bought them because she wanted them and with the three items I got free shipping. If I had a way to send pictures I would.

I ordered a hitch ball with the bracket for my trailer dolly from etrailer. They were the only company that I was able to find that would sell the hitch ball separately. Hi, the 2-516 Hitch Ball w Base for Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly - 1,000 lbs,Item # TVBB25 has been working fine. Especially because it came with the new in 2022 thicker spacer plate. The Trailer Valet XL is awesome as well as it allows me to place my trailer exactly where I need to winter storage.
