This bolt is used to help secure the bearing clamp of the locking ratchet arm assembly to the pivot tube on your Thule Sidearm roof-mounted bike rack. Bolt requires 8-mm zinc washer (sold separately) for complete installation.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Thule replacement bolt. Now, this is going to replace one M8 by 1.25 by 25 millimeter bolt for your Thule Sidearm roof-mounted bike carrier and T2 hitch-mounted bike carrier. And on your screen for your easy reference, I'm including the model numbers of those racks that this is going to work with. As you know, this does help secure the bearing clamp of the locking ratchet arm to the pivot tube, and this does require an eight-millimeter zinc washer for complete installation.
That washer is not included with this, but I am including the model number of that washer that you are going to need if you are in need of it. Now, this bolt is the direct replacement from Thule, so what that means for you is you can trust that this is going to fit right in place of the original whether that original somehow got misplaced or damaged. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or fitment issues. This is going to fit right in place. Well, I think that's going to wrap up our real quick look today.
