Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Taylor Made mooring snubber. This is going to work for your three eighths inch mooring lines, and it's going to help in the wind, waves, and wakes to make sure that there's not unnecessary stress put on your mooring lines.So basically the way this works, we'll just pass your three eighths inch line through, wrap it around one to three times, depending on how choppy the water is. One would just be for gentle waves and wakes. If you're really in a heavy wake zone, you can wrap it around up to three times and then pass it through.
Then re-attach your line. This is made of an elastic isoprene rubber, so it's very flexible. So basically it's going to allow that line to transfer the shock and rocking sensation to your snubber so that that line isn't being pulled and stretched and potentially breaking.So this is really nice to have, also helps to prevent any of your hardware on your dock or your boat from getting damaged. So if you are going to be in an area with a lot of waves or wake, this is going to be a great option for you. Very easy to get installed, no tools are needed or anything like that.One thing I do want to give you is the overall length.
So this is going to be right about a foot in length for your line to pass through. Overall length is just under 15 inches, call it about 14 and three quarters of an inch there. So you want to make sure that that's going to be small enough to fit in your setup, and you're not going to be pushing your boat out too far from the dock or anything like that.But very nice option, helps to keep your mooring lines from snapping or stretching out or anything that could cause damage, potentially harm your boat if something we're to snap and hit up against it. So just a great option for those of you who like to be out on your boat and want to make sure that everything is going to run smoothly. So that's going to complete our look for today.
