Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Taylor Made teakwood boat flag pole. This flag pole can attach to your boat so that you can fly your flag. It's going to give it a nice classic look being that it's made out of the wood and teakwood is a great wood for this purpose. It's naturally resistant so it's going to wear better than other types of wood.

You're not going to have to worry about any sort of wood rot or insects damaging this. The natural oils and silica treatment, it's going to help prevent all of that. It's also not going to bend or warp in your hot sunlight and the harsh winds or in your abrasive seawater so it's going to hold up really well for you.One thing to note is you are going to need to clean and oil your flagpole regularly to make sure that it maintains that rustic look over time.To get this mounted, you'll just find a one inch mounting socket. I'm using Taylor Made's mounting socket. You can find this here at etrailer using part number 369965.

This one has a 10 degree angle to it. We also have others that have different angles if you would prefer those. So you can see how easy that slides in. And then on the bottom of our mounting socket, we've got a little Allen bolt that we can tighten down so that it stays in place.The flagpole is going to be 30 inches in diameter.. Sorry, in total length maybe just shy of 30 inches, right about 30.

And as you can see, it's kind of got a tapered effect to it so I went ahead and measured with my digital calipers. The base part here is only about an inch, which is why it will work with your one inch flag mounts. Then it kind of tapers up to about one and five sixteenths of an inch, about a foot up the length. And then it's going to taper back down to one and.. Oh, sorry, 11 sixteenths of an inch.

Then your ball here is going to be one in 11 thirty-seconds of an inch in total diameter.To get your flag mounted onto this, you can use the Charlevoix boat flag clips that we sell here and they just kind of cinch around, clamp onto your flag. But I think that might be a little bit difficult because of the taper of this boat flag pole so I would probably recommend the Skipper flag clips. Those are going to screw in and since this is wood, it will be very easy to do. Then you'll know you have a secure connection. And you can find some of those here at etrailer, using part number 36957933.Once you have that all set up, you'll be able to fly your flag from your boat, nice and proud and it'll give it a nice classic look.That's going to complete our look at the Taylor Made teakwood boat flag pole.
