Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Taylor Made Deluxe Boat Flag Pole. So, this is going to help you to fly your flag on your boat and show off your insignia, show off your catch for the day, or whatever kind of flag that you might want to run up on the pole. It comes with everything you see laid out here, so we'll have our mounting hardware and the post to pop it into. This does have a bit of an angle to it, so it's going to help that flag to fly behind us and kind of keep the wind at its back. So, you can see we put that in there and then it leans off a little bit to the back. The nice thing about this is that it is made of 304 Stainless Steel, so we don't have to worry about any rust or corrosion. It's going to be great for salt and fresh water applications.
So, wherever you want to have this out should be just fine. You can take a little closer look at the hardware that it does come with, so we'll have our post to hold our flagpole, it's secured by a set screw here, so that's going to keep our flagpole in place. This actual little port is going to be kept in place by the opposite plate, which is going to be mounted underneath your mounting surface. And then it comes with three screws and the appropriate hardware, which is going to be a lock nut, or excuse me, a lock washer and a nut. Let's put that on the underside, keeps it nice and tight.
So, really the only thing that you need to do is drill out the three holes to match up with that hardware. Again, stainless steel hardware as well, so no worries about rust with that.As far as attaching a flag to the pole, we'll have these adjustable clips. So, to get the flag actually on the pole, you just need a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen these up, and then you can put those through the grommets to adjust the length, or the distance between these two clips, you will need a hex head or a Allen wrench to open that up. I think it's about an eighth of an inch Allen wrench to fit in there and then you can just slide that anywhere along the flag pole. The top will have our kind of globe finisher, looks pretty nice I think this is going to be a great addition to your boat to fly your flag. This is a recommended pole for flag size 24 inches up to 36 inches.
The actual flag pole measures 36 inches tall by a one inch diameter. The finial here is a diameter of one and a quarter inch. The mounting base outside diameter is two and three quarter inches. And the angle that base goes off at is 60 degrees. All in all, that's all to it for our look at the boat flag pole.
I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right flagpole for you. If not, we do have several other options available here at etrailer.com, along with a lot of other flags and marine accessories to deck out your boat, so check them out. Thanks for watching.
