Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Taylor Made Stainless Steel Rail Mount socket for a one inch diameter flagpole. Now this'll allow you to mount your flagpole in the socket to display your boat's flag. The socket will basically install onto a seven eighths inch to one inch diameter rail, and it holds a one inch diameter flag pole. Now the flagpole is sold separately.Now it does include this neoprene spacer to protect your boat's rail when you install this, basically the two Allen bolts at the bottom here, let's get an Allen wrench.

We can unscrew them and I can show you what we're talking about. So we get that bolt out And we'll get the second bolt out. You can see it's a solid stainless steel. Peel that backing off and you can place that right in there, just like that. And then when you go to install that onto your boat's rail it'll protect the rail from any damage.

And then you just put your piece back in there, tighten your bolts, and you're all ready to go.If you notice it has this thumb wheel screw here, that's to hold the flagpole in place. You put your flag pole in there and you just tighten it down. This will, when it's installed, hold your boat's flag perpendicular to the railing. And as I mentioned, it's a nice rust-proof stainless steel construction so it can handle the freshwater and saltwater conditions.
