Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Roadmaster Complete Repair Kit for your Sterling tow bar. This repair kit is going to replace lots of the hardware for your Sterling tow bar. This kit is a product from Roadmaster, so you can trust all these components are going to work with your Sterling tow bars. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. So, you are going to get four of these rubber caps, two of your locking springs, two retaining rings.
You're also going to get your two shoulder bolts with the nyloc nuts, and the three-quarter inch diameter acetyl washers. You're also going to get 14 of these one and a half inch diameter acetyl washers, and your lock nut, and jam nut there, as well as the instructions to walk you through that process of installing them in the different locations. So, if you are needing to replace any of that original hardware for your Sterling tow bars, this is the kit from Roadmaster, so you can trust it is gonna do exactly what you need it to do. Follow those instructions, and you'll be up and running again. So, that completes our look for today.

That's where Carol came to the rescue. The kit works great once you get ALL the parts.
My sterling is 20 years old. I remember now how well it function.

Exact replacement. Just what I needed to rebuild my Roadmaster Sterling tow bar and convert to a Blue Ox spec. baseplate.
Ordered rebuild kits to rebuild my roadmaster sterling tow bar---everything worked great with clear instruction material. Was unable to break loss loss a bolt on main shaft and received advice from your tech on best way to proceed. Successful ending to a dirty job.
The re-build kit and bushing for my tow bar along with the new cables and extensions made it like new again. Everything I ordered worked as expected and arrived in timely fashion. Thanks for My third good experience with Your company.
Repair kit was complete. Suggest future users identify where the plastic washers and note how many are required at each position before disassembly.

I received the parts in just a few days. Packaged well including very good instructions. I received regular communication of the shipment time, transit updates and an email the package had actually been delivered to my shipping address. Prior to ordering the parts, I had several questions on my application, the parts, and the installation. All of my questions we answered completely and timely. Every step from initial contact to completion of the repairs was a great customer experience. These guys are awesome!
Ordered kit when I ordered a replacement stinger for my Roadmaster Sterling tow bar. Tow bar had been used for over 90K miles. Latches were worn and starting to stick a bit so I replaced them. Installation instructions came with the kit and they are excellent.
We ended up returning the purchased item because we got a different towbar instead of repairing the one we had. However, etrailer.com is great to deal with. Prices are reasonable and shipping is fast, even though we got economy shipping. I was so impressed with the etrailer.com web site - ease of finding items, accurate descriptions, great pictures, etc - that I recommended the site to a friend before my item was even delivered.
An exploded view of the parts being rebuilt would have save much time and ag . Theres to much left to interpretation with the nylon spacers.
I wish I had seen the interior bushing kit when I ordered the rebuild kit, it was a mess. So it got cleaned up and will be next for a more complete rebuild..
Kit was complete arrived quickly and installed easily. Be aware of need for large wrenches including large Allen wrench.

Of you replace an arm,go ahead and do both. You will wind up doing so later anyways. Make sure you install the dust caps or they will absolutely get dirt and rust without them.
etrailer is good for the most part - they stock many of the most popular needed items and offer them at a reasonable price. One thing they really need to do to stay competitive today and that is to offer "free shipping" on anything you might purchase no matter what the price maybe.

The instructions are good just make sure you clean all parts before installing new kit! Boy do they slide in and out with ease now better than when it was new!!

Tow Bar is working like new.I was unaware of the rebuild kit, would have done it sooner.
