Speaker 1: Today we're going to a look at the cyst airborne sidewinder custom wedge for the Husky Valley fifth wheels. Now a fifth wheel wedge is a simple but reliable way to allow a fifth wheel hitch to be used with a fifth wheel sidewinder pin box. This custom wedge will bolt in place of the universal wedge on the pin box, and it provides a new pivot point for the kingpin and a wider turn radius for the fifth wheel trailer.So to keep the pin box from swiveling at the fifth wheel hitch head, this custom wedge, which is on the pin box, this will insert into the hitch head, locks the pin box into place there, and since the pivot point is then moved towards the rear of your tow vehicle, it can easily make 90 turns even with a short-bed truck.Now this fifth wheel wedge is designed to fit the Husky and Valley fifth wheels, and it will accommodate the sidewinder or fifth airborne sidewinder pin boxes. Has a nice durable carbide black powder coat finish on it to resist corrosion. Does include everything shown here. The wedge itself and the two mounting bolts.But that should do it for the review on the fifth airborne sidewinder custom wedge for the Husky Valley fifth wheels..

5th Airborne Custom Wedge for Husky / Valley Fifth WheelsAlthough I was given advise that this was the wedge I needed after supplying the make and model of my receiver, after receiving it I had to alter it quite a bit to make it fit to my satisfaction. It didn't fit deep enough so I had to cut the wedge deeper and the angle section at the end had to be narrowed.
The Airborne Custom Wedge fit perfectly in my Husky hitch and I was amazed at the clearance the Revaluation created between the trailer and truck rear window. Easy installation. Quick delivery and just as described on the website.

The wedge fit my Husky 5th wheel hitch perfectly. The Reese Revolution was the answer to trailer to truck rear window concerns for a 6 ft. bed.

While traveling the mountain roads we experienced movement on the Lippert Turning Point Hitch. Imagine going down a mountain road at highway speeds and suddenly the 8,000 lb. weight of the trailer shifts going into a turn. Pretty scary! After emails to the Pin Box manufacturer, we were referred to etrailer for an after market part. A different Wedge that fits our hitch like a glove we were able to reference to our mechanic.
Ashley took our inquiry seriously, dug down in and referred us to the right part. We appreciate their support!!
This was just what was needed. Thanks for the technical information to recieve the correct part. I can now back in my short bed pu with ease and no fear of contacting the cab.
I have a Husky 16K S hitch installed. The Universal wedge supplied with my Reese Revolution (Sidewinder) works but it is slightly difficult to release the kingpin. I purchased the Husky specific wedge thinking that this would work better but unfortunately this wedge does NOT work with the Husky 16K S hitch. eTrailer has been very helpful with great communication, no complaints with them.

I am considering a Sidewinder pin box and also have a Husky 16KS hitch. I am wondering now 4 yrs later are you using the Universal wedge or did you find another solution?

Ed, I still use the universal and its been working fine. I plan to stick with the universal.

I have a Husky 16K W 5th Wheel Hitch and bought a Keystone Cougar that came with a Reese Airborne Sidewinder. I tried using the universal wedge that comes with the Sidewinder but found that there was too much movement so I decided to order the SWW-4 custom wedge for the Husky. I installed it yesterday, it was easy to do, trailer hooks up and releases good, just have to take it for a ride now to let you know how it works.
I had doubts at first when I was informed the part was out of stock and I wouldn't get it until late in the month. I searched for an alternate supplier.
I was surprised when I got notice of delivery 2 days later. The priority mail was a fantastic plus. I commend your staff for a great experience in customer support and you will be my choice when shopping for towing needs in the future. Word is already out to friends with RVs how happy I am with your service. The part is right, the price is right and the service is what seals the deal Thank you so much!
The product works as stated. Delivery was early. In my opinion if you have a Husky (w) receiver do not bother with the generic wedge it had to much play and was unsafe.
I have used it three times in the Sierra Nevada mountains traveling apx.700 miles of steep winding roads.
Correct part for Husky 5th wheel; no pr oblems.

I would like to reach out to the manufacturer about what is happening with the wedge. Can you confirm that you have a Husky or Valley 5th wheel? And that you have a 5th Airborne Sidewinder?
