Hi! What would be the comparable power converter to replace a WFCO 8955 PEC 30 amp in an RV? And, is the installation and DIY or is it necessary to have it professionally installed? Thank you!

A WFCO-8955 is going to have a 55 amp converter so the best replacement option is going to be the Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution Panel # PD4655V, which is an exact replacement for your current converter.

Removal and installation isn't very challenging if you have a bit of experience with electrical, but if you wouldn't feel safe working on the electrical system of a vehicle it'd probably be better to pay a qualified technician.

I took a look at the replacement Converter for Parallax/Magnetek or WFCO RV Power Centers #PD4655V that you mention, and unfortunately it will not work with lithium batteries, and should only be used on flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries.
