Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Lippert replacement extension rod. This is gonna replace one hexagonal extension rod for your five foot, one inch wide Solera RV slide-out awning. This is a direct replacement from Lippert, the original manufacturer of the Solera, so you can trust this is gonna fit right in place. This is going to work with your Solera slide-out awnings that we're manufactured before 2022, the slide-toppers made before 2022, have brackets designed for that hex-shaped extension bar. But because it is a direct replacement from Lippert, you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original, no worries about fit issues or compatibility or anything like that.
But just to give you some extra reassurance, you can see this is approximately 15 1/2 inches long by about 3/4 of an inch thick or wide. It does have that same black color, so it is gonna fit right in place and look really nice for you. These bars are hard to find.
I needed two Awning extension rods and could not find them anywhere. Checked with my local dealer who said he’s had them on backorder for sometime and doesn’t know when to expect them. I found them on the etrailer website at a great price. Ordered them and had them within two days. e trailer is my new go to store for all my rv needs.
The ordered parts look great The only thing is the original part has 3-4 pre drilled holes and the new part only has one. Appears I may need to drill additional holes. We shall see.
