The FanMate is already pretty pricey and when you open the package for this screen, you'll see it's very inexpensively made.
Perfect accessory to the vent covers.
Easy to install and can't say I've noticed any critters getting. We leave our fan lids open 90% of the time as we are usually camping when it's warm outside.
etrailer is the best. Very fast shipping. Just what I needed.

Don't know why the screen was not included in the first place. The other Maxx-air fan, less expensive version, came with one. Haven't installed yet, hope all goes well.
When installing the vent why not just go ahead and do it right with adding the screen. As usual a good price, fast shipping and love to see the tracking etrailer uses.

We installed two MaxxAir FanMate covers with Bug Screen on our Montana. The item is exactly as described, material is flexible enough for easy installation. We ordered two MaxxAir FanMate Bug Screens and the Bug Screens and FanMate covers arrived on the same day. Assembly and installation on the MaxxAir fans took less than ten minutes.
Very flimsy and came quite bent. Also seems like the snap on point are not really snapping onto anything in the vent cover. A bit of mystery to me on how it will be installed.

Wau, this is customer service, really appreciate the follow-up. I have not yet installed the ventfan and cover – when I unpacked the cover and tried to install the “bug” screen into the outer screen door, I could not make the bug screen snap into place and stay. It seems to be a very flimsy connection between the screen and bug screen. I am not sure yet, but likely will need to use something else caulk or similar to glue the two together. Anyway, it is doable and the bug screen is only an add-on, was really interested in adding the cover to keep rain out primarily during outdoor storage of the camper. I can now keep the vent open and also have the fan kick in when it gets hot while stored, so that is great and really what I was after.
The screen was a easy to install item and helped a great deal in keeping insects and leaves out of the MaxxAir Fanmate.
The covers/bug screens work very well for our travel trailer.
Order came very quickly and as promised. It's always great to work with etrailer.

It works great
Will keep the bugs from building a home in the vent cover. Very easy install and as usual great service from etrailer.
Easy to install initially and it can easily be removed as needed. After quite a few trips at highway speed being left in place there has been no distortion or issues of any sort so it seems rock solid. It's also been through heavy rain with no leaks. Great addition to our teardrop!
FAST delivery, fair price. Nice job, etrailer. HOWEVER, for what it costs, this is a pretty flimsy screen. And there is still the gap the whole way around the bottom for bugs to get it. But it is made in the USA. If I had to do it again, I would go without the screen.
Poorly made afterthought product. The bug screen will not stay in place and will fallout inside of the vent cover while traveling. The clips do not snap over the louvers, instead they sit on top using tension to stay in place - however the product is to flimsy. As others posted you will need to tape or otherwise use another product to hold the bug screen into place.
Great addition to the maxxair fan cover.

The product was a little "rough around the edges" but very functional. The service and communications @ etrailer is outstanding and the videos are very helpful, better than I've found anywhere else.
