I ordered and paid for a Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Roof Cover and received a Dometic cover. I contacted etrailer to informed what happened, Marcus H reached out to me , he apologized I received the wrong item, made a reship request and I returned the Dometic Cover.
Yesterday, I received a Dometic Cover with a Fan-Tastic Vent Kit and Bug Screen. Really? That’s not what I ordered, it may work fine, but once again, it’s not what I ordered and paid for. That’s without mentioning the cover was scratched on the top. Very disappointed and not a good first time buyer experience.
Sorry for the delay on my instillation on the Dometic roof vent cover...I have a 2007 Airstream Interstate and when I climbed up to check for installing the cover I realized that to roof rack sat right at the back side of the vent...I was bummed and a beer later I realized I could remove a 2" swath on each side of the cover to slide though the back of the rack...It modified perfect and was installed last Thursday...I have been waiting to download pic's off my phone...check it out...a custom fit and works like a charm...thanks again etrailer...John
Got a new rv with a Dometic power fan with factory mounting tabs for a cover on the roof. They weren’t the same as the max air, so had to get this one. Shipping was quicker than expected and fit was perfect! If you have mounting tabs already on roof this cover works perfectly, no screws to remove or holes to drill. Fits right on and attaches with 4 plastic plugs! Took me all of 5 minutes!!
Fast shipping. Smooth A+ transaction. Item is as described. Vent assembly included internal bug screen. All and all...easy simple install. Well made, well thoughtout.
Cover came scratched on all sides and covered in dust. Appears this item is passed around warehouses uncovered until they stick it in a box to ship. Also if your looking for the Fantastin Fan logo to be on the side like in the picture mine was missing and sticker was not found in the instructions. Ultimately I will install because it will serve my purpose and be out of sight but for XX dollars they could do better.

Love it! On our 2019 Coachmen Beyond camper van the Fantastic Fan would automatically close if it rained. That was a problem because we need it to stay on to keep the van cool in the rain too. Otherwise a rainy day without access to using the air conditioner when not hooked to electric or generator was miserable. Plus we have two dogs who stay in the van for an hour or two if we go in to a place to eat or shop. With the fan on it stays great all day. If the fan shuts off due to a sprinkle it is not good. Plus we drive with the fan on too at times now. You are not supposed to do that but with the cover it is ok because it protects the from wind damage I think. Recnetly told a fellow van owner about the cover.

I installed the Dometic U1400 BLS (E-trailer Item #DMC38FR) on a 2023 Tab 400 Travel Trailer. This cover is a perfect fit to the Dometic Fan model 1450. The new model Dometic Fan 1400 has four flanges, two on each side of the fan base. The Dometic cover fits on top of of the four flanges and attaches using only the four 1/4" drive rivets included with the cover. If your fan is an older model without the flanges, you would have to use the other hardware which is also included.
Also, e-trailer includes the separate insect screen which many sellers charge extra for.
Picture showed a Dometic label on the cover. The ones I received had no labels and were somewhat scuffed. They will work ok but they seem to be seconds. Not exactly what I thought I was getting, considering the price. It would also be helpful if you showed the bug screen linked to the cover, so a person could order both at the same time if they want it.

They have worked great with no issues. Easy to install.
Does NOT fit over Fantastic Fan 1250. Pinches the lid so that it cannot open or close. Took over a month to get. Worst etrailer experience I’ve had.

What I found when I reached out to the manufacturer was that this cover would need to be installed with the lid closed. Once installed the fan lid will hit the cover, however it will not restrict the air flow.
Parts arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Will not put on till spring, but simple install and great communication from trailer.
Overall I like it it just needs some better packaging maybe some bubble wrap because the sides and the top got scratched other than that it’s a good product and worked good on the top of the vent Thank you
We bought this cover for a Fan-Tastic Vent we installed for the bedroom of our travel trailer. Key benefits:
1. We can operate the fan in the rain
2. We can operate the fan while driving
3. The dark cover reduces morning light in the bedroom, allowing us to sleep longer
4. The cover protects the fan lid from UV degradation.
Installation was very simple when done at the same time as the fan, but we also installed the white version of this product over the pre-installed bathroom and even that was straightforward.
Arrived quickly in good condition with all necessary supplies. Instructions slightly confusing because they list multiple steps in order, when in reality each step is just for when you're covering a different kind of roof vent. Once you figure that out, it's easy.
Still look brand new after a year. Install was easy. I have the powered lids so I had to do some research to ensure myself that they do stop electrically and not harm the motor when they hit the cover. There were lots of posts saying it was fine and I agree. No issues after a year of operation.
Our son put it on today for us we love it came with everything we needed even a bug shield got to open my fan lid up all the way with vent cover on now when I use my fan especially when it rains it’s perfect and we can remove the vent lid to clean thank you E Trailer couldn’t take pics it’s on the roof of our jayco eagle trailer
First of all shipping was fast. When I removed them out of the box they are solid heavy duty Plastic. We just purchased a 2008 Fleetwood Revolution LE 42K and this was one of my first projects. I first coated the original Fan-tastic vent covers with Coasta Coat to refresh it and preserve it. Great stuff for oxidized RV sides also.
I installed all 3 in about 45 minutes. The old sealer was still soft even after 8 years and was easy to cut and remove just enough to expose the front & second 1/4 inch hex head bolts. Using quality roofing sealer I placed it over the cut out and used the longer screws Fan-tastic provided with the kit then a little more sealer to cover the head. It took about 15 minutes for each vent as I have 3 of them. I used a little sealer on the holding pins also to insure they never slide out. Easily removed if needed.
This is my third Motor Home installation. I used another cheaper brand on my other 2005 5th wheel and 2000 Damon MH over the last 8 years. These look fantastic as well as very practical and adds extra security and protection to the original vents. I Highly recommended them for their own vents and etrailer had the best price found.
One concern I had is the vents are on an automatic switch that raises the original vents to about 12 inches high. The Fan-tsatic vents automatically stopped with no problems when they maxed out without damaging the motor or the vent. I had a concern about that as some cheaper ones are lower in height than this one which is made for their vents. I was afraid they would burn or or damage the vent or the motor. No problems.
Shipping was very fast and the price was competitive. Installation is pretty straight forward. I ordered 2. The 1st one took mabe 30-45 minutes. The 2nd one was much faster
Worked great, mounted on the existing Dometic fan brackets.
Super easy to install on Dometic as already and the clips from factory. Cuts down on ambient light in the mornings.
Will need to give good layer if dicor only because my roof is not flat.
Easy to install and works great. Cut away old lap sealant, drill 4 holes, screw down, and apply new lap sealant.

Came a day earlier then was expected! Less then an hour after UPS delivered my new rv vent covers, I had both installed! All hardware was included!
Now I can open my vents fully! With old maxxair I could only open my upgrades about 4 inches, now 10 I would guess!
Easy to install and have worked well this past year. They don't allow my vent lids to open quite as far as without the covers, so the airflow is not as much as without them. But they allow the vents to be open even with a heavy rain which I need.
Great price and packaged very good. Should work great on our 5th wheel.
