Today we're going to be taking a look at part number FVU1550BL, this is the bug screen for the fantastic vent ultra breeze trailer roofing covers. The bug screen is gonna slide into your vent cover on the roof of your RV or enclosed trailer and it's going to help keep bugs out. It's got the heavy gauge wire mesh that's going to allow more airflow when compared to fine mesh screens. The units very simple installation. All you have to do is snap it into place and it does so very easily. And then you're gonna have the black outer trim, so this would work perfect for the black fantastic vent ultra breeze vent cover, and then this is also available in white to match a white vent cover if you have one. For our demonstration today, I have the white vent cover just to show you how easily it does install. So in the installation process, the first step is going to be to remove the vent cover from your roof.
You need to gain access to the back side and to the bottom, so I find it easiest just to flip it over. Then there's going to be a little channel inside of here where you can slide the mesh screen into place. You're going to have two clips here at the top, that's going to be towards the top of the cover, four larger clips that are going to clip in here in the bottom. So we'll slide this in so we get it all the way down. You can see where those two clips here at the base are going to go into place, and then we're going to take our four clips and they come right through this area here.
And then that holds the screen in place on the actual cover. Nice, simple, do-it-yourself installation. Then when you're ready to remove the screen, if you need to clean it, simply just push in on the tabs and pull it out. Very easy to do. That's going to complete today's review of part number FVU1550BL.

the glue holding the screen to to the frame not very good. screen unstuck in places. will put silicone sealant around edge of screen. should be fine.

Looks OK just can’t put it on because no grill grate was sent with my vent hood cover
Fits the roof vent perfect. It helps keep the nasty bugs out.
Have not installed the cover yet, but the size and quality seems very good. This will be installed on a travel trailer over a fantastic fan.

It has held up very well. Keeps everything very clean after the installation
The bug screen was easily inserted in the fantastic fan vent cover. It remains to be seen how well it will hold up. It is disappointing this item does not come standard with the vent cover and has to be bought separate. The mesh screen openings are quite large and I'm quite sure will allow gnats and mosquitos to penetrate. Hope I'm wrong about that.
Item is a snap (literally) to install in the etrailer suggested vent cover. The mesh is small enough to keep out yeller jackets and wasps and spiders but still should allow for airflow. etrailer continues to stock quality stuff and their installation videos make setting things up a snap.
The big screens were ordered and packed with the vent covers. The big screens fit perfect.

Very easy install. Not only are bugs kept at bay blowing leaves are also stopped by the screens.
Great product. Fit good and didn't cut down on air flow.
Compliments the Fan-Tastic Ultra Breeze vent covers which are also the best vent covers I have found.
This is a good addition to the Ultra Breeze vent cover as the openings in the grill of the cover are very large and flying insects can get inside.

Thank you for following up. Not many companies care after the sale has been made. But not etrailer.Fantastic fans are great. The bug screen in opinion is a necessary add-on. Easy to remove and clean.
Bug Screen for Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Covers are excellent. I am very satisfied with them.
I give it 5 stars only because I never had the chance to use them I bought a Lemon of a trailer. Finally was able to sell it. Not fair of me to review any lower due to someone else ripping me off.
It slipped into place and locked in just as advertised.

The vent unit is holding up well. I have had no issues with. I feel better knowing that my semi-flimsy bathroom vent has this additional protection above it.
Product had worked at keeping material out of trailer vent, have done zero maintenance on it since installing a year ago. Easy to install.
Have had previous vent covers without this screen and it doesn’t take long for wasp and other insects to build nest in the vent covers. Easy install, perfect solution.
