Today, we're going to be taking a look at Part # FVU1550WH. This is the Fantastic Vent bug screen for the Ultra Breeze trailer roof vent cover. The bug screen is designed to slide into your Fantastic Vent Ultra Vent Part # FVU1500WH on the roof of your RV or enclosed trailer to help keep out bugs. The heavy gauge wire mesh is going to allow more airflow than fine mesh screens. It's a nice design. The unit's easily going to snap into place, and it has the white outer trim to match your white Ultra Breeze trailer roof vent cover if that's the color you have.
It's only available in white and black. This one would accommodate the white one very well. I want to go over the installation process. I actually have the Ultra Breeze roof vent cover here, just to show you how the two pieces slide together. Really simply installation. You'll need to begin by removing the vent cover from your roof.
Then we're going to need to gain access to the bottom. I find it easiest just to go ahead and flip it over. What we're going to do is, we want our clips, the four large clips of our screen to be on the bottom. Two clip are going to go at the very top. Inside the vent cover there's like a little groove that this can fit into.
It kind of helps guide it into place. I'm going to push it all the way in. Those two clips are going to engage here at the top. One clip is right here and the other one's on this side. Then we're going to to the four larger clips, simply snap them through.
Right here, right here, and right here. Just like that it's installed and we don't have to worry about any bugs being able to come through there. We got the mesh cover already installed. It can also be easily uninstalled. When you're ready to do so, if you want to take it out and clean it; push down on the four clips and simply pull it out of the cover. That's going to do it for today's look at Part # FVU1550WH.

The screen I received had been hastily put together. As a result the screen was not fully welded to the frame. I had to take my soldering iron to melt some of the plastic over the open edges to ensure a better fit and increase the bug-repelling capability of the screen. Otherwise the frame did fit easily into the Fan-Tastic roof vent cover. The tabs do clip onto the plastic exterior grid but not with a lot of force. I will just need to see how the screen does over several trips.

These may or may not be needed in your application. I ordered the screens and vent cover for 2 vents on my rig. With the screens installed in the vent cover there wasn’t enough room for the vent to open. I took the screens off and the cover and vents work fine.
arrived super fast and looks sturdy with large enough openings in the screening material to permit good air flow and yet keep bugs out. It will work well with the fantastic fan and roof vent cover so that the fan can move air freely in and out of the RV with the fan running.
We like the screen for the Fantastic Vent. It was easy to install and kept the bugs out while the fan was running.

I bought this screen to prevent wasps and hornets from building their happy home inside the vent cover. I bought one cover with screen about a year ago to try it out. I like it and now have a matching pair. Nice.
