Adam: What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Bristol Waste Valve, but in particular, we're going to be taking a look at the replacement cap. So we're going to have two different kinds, black and gray. We have two different kinds of tanks, we have the black water tank and our gray water tank. So regardless of which one you may be doing, we're going to have a replacement for them. Why would we want to replace them Well, over time, I've seen it many times, especially in the cold climates.
These are going to crack and break over time, but don't worry, etrailer's got your back. We got replacements for you. The first thing you want to do is just pull this thing out. What I've found to be easiest because there is a nice little grease seal on there, so it is a little greasy.Grab some sort of tool, I like using Chanellocks, because it is threaded. So get that tight.
It's definitely something you can't do with your hands. So get that on, and then we can go ahead and start to twist this off. Be nice and careful with it. And this is probably going to be a lot harder if you do have a broken lever, just because you're not going to have all this surface area, so you might need to get another tool to really crimp down on the side. Probably another Channellock will do it.
But there you go. It's all done. So we can go ahead and replace it with this one and that's just about it. It's going to be the same for the black water and the gray water. We're going to thread it in there nice like that and we are done.
