Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at the replacement vacuum breaker kit for your Dometic RV toilet. Now this is going to just be the vacuum breaker here. So this is going to plug into the back of your bowl. Has the expander grommet.

It's going to go over the end, so push this on as much as you can to get that fully seated around that connection. And then you'll want to press this whole piece into the back of the bowl. That grommet is going to provide the watertight connection between your vacuum breaker and the back of that bowl.In addition to that, we'll also have this support bracket. This is going to have two different size holes, so the bigger one it's going to go on this bigger barbed end. And then the other end is going to go for our connection to our hand sprayer.

So the tube will come down through here. We'll have two hose clamps to go over our hoses. So the big one goes on the big barb. The little one goes in the little barb. But your hoses will go on their clamps, clamp it down.

This bracket is just going to help to support that weight, so whenever you pull on that hand sprayer, it's not going to pull it off of that barbed fitting. It's going to kind of give something to brace against that so as the name suggests, it's a support bracket.Now this is going to work for the toilet series, the Dometic series that you see listed on the screen there, so anything that fits within those series names. It's intended to only be used with the hand sprayer since it has that extra barb at the end. You wouldn't really be able to use this for a toilet that doesn't have a hand sprayer. Now if you wanted to convert your toilet to one that will support a hand sprayer.

This will be the part to get. But you will need to get that actual sprayer, and the hose, and that is sold separately.There is a kit where all of that comes together. You get the vacuum breaker, all this hardware and that hand sprayer. You can find that kit here at etrailer.com, if you wanted to make that conversion. But if you didn't already have the hand sprayer, if you try to connect this in there, water's just going to leak out of the bottom and then it's no good. But basically, this just keeps everything from pulling any kind of waste or black water back into your freshwater tank. Prevents any kind of contamination for that tank for you. It is made in the USA. Comes with all those pieces that I mentioned. So it should be pretty much everything that you need for the installation.
