Benefits of a Heated Engine

Start your engine easier and warm your cab faster in cold weather with this circulating tank heater. Heating your engine coolant keeps it from thickening and freezing, resulting in more reliable start-ups and smoother operation altogether. It also lessens the workload and extends the life of your vehicle's battery. And because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which causes fewer emissions and less pollution.

Circulating Tank Heater

This external tank heater connects to both your heater core hose and engine block drain as an effective way to heat your whole coolant system. The heated coolant pushes the cold coolant through the engine block, heater core, and radiator, and then thermosiphons it back to the heater. The heater's internal thermostat automatically shuts the heater off at 175 degrees Fahrenheit to keep the coolant at an optimal temperature, which allows it to heat safely overnight. As a result, your coolant system will be preheated for a smooth startup, your cab will heat and defrost faster, and you won't have to worry about frozen hoses.

Installation

The included fitting lets you attach this system to your engine block drain. If there is no drain in your engine block, then you can use a lower radiator hose connector (sold separately) to splice into your lower radiator hose instead. The included Y-shaped tube will connect the tank to the heater core hose that leads to your engine block, water pump, or manifold, depending on your application.

For the thermosiphon to work correctly, the tank must be positioned vertically. Use the included mounting bracket to secure the tank to your vehicle's frame rail, fender, or firewall. Once the tank is mounted and all lines are properly connected, run the power cord out through your grille so that it can be plugged into a 120-volt outlet or extension cord.

Here is a photo of the engine warmer installed in a 1996 CK-3500 Chey Silverado 1 ton crew cab - Vortex 350 V8 engine.

I had already installed one of these, so it was a bit easier this time around. It is a very tight fit, but worth the effort because it really makes a world of difference starting the engine out here in the Wyoming winters.

Because I am a Fireman, the need for me to just go when called is paramount, and this unit makes that possible even when the temps are below zero.

Thank you for having these available, the auto parts store where I bought the last one no longer stocked them. I am very pleased that it came right to our ranch via UPS too. This makes life so much easier.

The website, the availability, the price and the shipping were all amazing.

I will let everyone know about your company.

All the way around,... 5 STARS !

Thank you very much.

worked for me

Works great. I installed it in my 1989 BJ75 Toyota LandCruiser (4-cyl diesel) and plug it into a wifi-programable outlet. It comes on about an hour before I start the truck and when I go out to start it, it fires right up, no glow-screen and idles smooth. Without the pre-heat of the coolant, it would cough, chug and smoke a lot worse.

I am not using this product because my owners Manuel says not to use this type of heater.

by:
