Today, on our boat trailer, we'll be installing the replacement breakaway cable for Titan Model A couplers, part number T4623800. If we had the rare instance of the trailer becoming unhooked from our tow vehicle, this breakaway cable, when attached to the truck properly, will pull back on the lever here, and apply our hydraulic surge brakes on our trailer, making it come to a slow stop. As you can see in the tongue of our boat trailer here, here's our breakaway actuator. It's missing the cable. These cables aren't replaceable by themselves right here, because as you could see, the wire's crimped on here, so it can't easily be replaced. First thing we need to do is unbolt our plate here. Take the plate off.
Now, we need to take this front plate off here. Now, when you remove this retaining clip here, just pop that out with a screwdriver. Okay. Now we can slide our actuator out, like so. Take the new one, slide it in place, and we'll re-install our clip. That in like that, take our screwdriver again, we'll just push down on it.
Tap it in like so, slide our plate back on, re-install our screws here at the top. Now we'll take our cover, slide it back into position like so, and we'll re-install our screws. Put this cover back on. Our breakaway cable has been successfully re-attached, and that completes the installation of the replacement breakaway cable for Titan Model A couplers, part number T4623800 on our boat trailer.

This part worked better than I thought it would. My brake system is 50 years old so I thought I would have to modify the part I ordered. Only thing I had to do was drill two holes as the old system was not bolted down.

When I took my boat in to have a new boat cover made, thebreakaway cable was busted when they were moving my trailer around. My contact told me that if the lever flops around it means the breakaway was actually used and it requires resetting it by hand. You have to remove the cover and then carefully remove the spring inside. Then set the lever in the disengaged position and re-insert the spring.

I believe from your photos you need the kit for model A-75 and A-84 actuators.
