Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement adjustment screw kit for the Dexter Axle Nev-R-Adjust 12-inch, electric trailer brakes. If you're needing to replace the adjustment screws, springs, adjuster cables, cable anchor hooks, and self-adjusting levers to repair your Dexter Axle 12-inch, electric Nev-R-Adjust trailer brakes, then this is the kit you are going to need. This kit includes the components for both the left and right-hand brakes, and it fits all Dexter Axle 12-inch, electric Nev-R-Adjust trailer brakes. Now, as you can see, this includes two adjuster springs.
One left-hand adjuster lever spring, one right-hand adjuster lever spring, one left-hand adjuster screw assembly, one right-hand adjuster screw assembly, two adjuster cables, two cable anchor hooks, one left-hand self-adjusting lever, and one right-hand self-adjusting lever. view full answer... - How Do You Adjust Lippert Self-Adjusting Braking Assemblies When They Are Too TightAdjusting self-adjusting brakes is going to be a lot more difficult than manual adjusting ones due to the starwheel and how the self adjusting cable is attached. The procedure listed in Connor's answer is what has been relayed to us by Lippert as we do not carry their line of brakes, so unfortunately, those are the only pictures we have of them. However, I provided a picture of a Dexter Nev-R-Adjust brake kit # 23-464-465 and the lever in question as an example. This should help explain...

- Is There a Kit That Can Convert Dexter Manual Adjusting Brakes Over to Nev-R-Adjust Brakes?I spoke to Dexter and the # DX43QR will be the replacement kit for 12" Electric Nev-R-Adjust brakes. Unfortunately, they said adding this on to your manual adjusting brakes will not make them work the same as the Nev-R-Adjust ones. If you want to get the Nev-R-Adjust brakes on your trailer, you will need to go with the # 23-464-465 for a 7,000 pound axle, or the # 23-458-459 for a 6,000 pound axle. Both of these options will fit your 8-219 hub/drum without issue.
