Today we're going to take a look at the replacement brake adjuster screw for the 10 inch and 12 inch Dexter never adjust electric trailer brakes. Now this adjustment screw will fit 10 inch and 12 inch Dexter never adjust electric drum brake assemblies. This screw is what is located at the bottom of your brake assembly and allows your drum brake shoes to be adjusted. This part is compatible with the right hand passenger side assemblies only. We do also sell the left hand driver side adjuster screw separately on our website. It's part number 048-022-00 and it is listed on this product page as a related project.

I needed the Dexter brake part that is turned to adjust brake shoe tightness with the accompanying spring. Of course etrailer had them in stock and got them to me pronto. Simple, quick, reliable, no non-sense just like their short to the point video ad on [online] videos.

- Can Manual Electric Drum Brakes Be Converted to Self-Adjusting By Swapping Brake Adjustment ScrewParts from manual and self-adjusting brakes are not interchangeable. Unfortunately, this means you cannot add the # 048-023-00 to your current brakes to make them self-adjusting. There is more to self-adjusting brakes than the adjuster screw so the best option is to replace the brakes completely.
