Replaces the right side adjusting screw for your Dexter 12-1/4" electric brake assemblies with cast backing plates.

Note: All Dexter 12-1/4" electric brake assemblies manufactured after 2000 use the cast backing plate. Old style brake assemblies with the stamped backing plate will require the 048-010-00 (DA84FR - sold separately) right-hand adjuster.

Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the replacement adjustment screw for your Dexter electric brakes. This is going to be for the right hand side, so this is going to be a direct replacement from the manufacturer to make sure that you can make that adjustment to your brakes so that they're going to be applied correctly and properly. Over time this can wear out, so replacing it is a much more cost effective way of keeping those brakes rolling for many years, rather than having to replace the entire kit. So let's take a closer look and make sure that this is the right choice for you. This is for any brake assembly from Dexter.
Again, for the right hand side, that is manufactured after the year 2000 and uses that cast backing plate.The older style, so pre-2000 would have a stamped backing plate, and that would require a different part number, which is listed on our product page, but that would be DA84FR, so it is sold separately. And you can see how I'm playing with this right here, but as you turn this wheel, it's going to adjust it so that it's going to expand the brakes out because this screw is going to come out or it'll bring them back in. So the further out this goes, the more it's going to push out those shoes. That's pretty much all there is to it. If you want to see all the part numbers that this works with, again, you can find that on our product page.It does fit any of the 12 and a quarter inch assemblies.
The three different widths will be the three and three eighths inch and four inch and five inch. And this is for the passenger side or the right hand side. If you need the left hand screw, you can find that using part number DA94FR right here at eachtrailer.com. They called me back to let me know the part I ordered was not in stock but they had an identical item with a different part number that was in stock and they could send that instead good job
