  • Recommended Transmission Cooler For 2019 RAV4
The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class II - Efficient # D13501 is the most popular universal-fit transmission cooler for various vehicles and should fit your 2019 Toyota RAV4. This cooler measure 11" wide, 5-3/4" tall, and 7/8" deep. To confirm if this will work on your vehicle for sure you will need to measure the space between your grille and radiator and compare to the cooler's dimensions. This transmission cooler works with 5/16" lines. If your...

  • Transmission Cooler for 2003 Toyota Tundra with 4.7L Engine
Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific items, so the idea is to choose the largest, most efficient cooler that will fit in the space available. The best and most efficient place to mount a transmission cooler is directly behind the grille in front of the radiator and A/C condenser. If the space available will accommodate its 11 x 11-3/8 inch dimensions, the Derale # D13614 would be an excellent choice. The fittings needed will depend on the diameter of your transmission lines. For...

  • Radiator Fan For 1998 Dodge Durango
Since fans are not vehicle specific, choosing a fan for your 1998 Dodge Durango will depend on a couple of things. For your 5.9 liter engine, the normal CFM requirement is between 3400 and 4500, so you will want to get the largest fan possible that meets your engine cooling requirement. You will want to make certain you have sufficient room to install the fan. I have linked you to our product page that has several fans, and also shows the dimensions for the fans. I have also linked you...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica
A transmission cooler is always a good idea if you are towing. Overheating is one of the biggest causes for transmission failure because your transmission relies on the transmission fluid to stay cool. The added stress from towing a trailer on the engine and transmission will cause the transmission fluid to heat up more than normal. It is a good idea to get the largest transmission cooler possible because transmission fluid cannot be cooled too much, however, you will be limited by the...

  • Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler Recommendation for a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan
If you were looking for a transmission cooler for your 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, then I would recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler, # D13502, that you referenced. This transmission cooler is rated for up to 6,000 lbs and the ideal installation location is in front of the AC condenser or radiator. The installation process could take some time for someone who does not have experience installing aftermarket coolers in vehicles. For those who are mechanically inclined,...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse
For your 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, I would recommend installing the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler, # D13503. The main difference between this transmission cooler and # D13303 is the design. The plate-fin design is more efficient that the tube-fin design because they force fluid between much smaller plates that agitate the fluid. The fluid leaving the plate-fin style is cooler because the smaller, flatter plates allow more fluid to contact the aluminum surface inside the...

  • Transmission Cooler Installation Tips for a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis LS
The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13503, would be a great choice for your 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis, as long as there is room in front of the radiator and ac condenser for the cooler to mount. Measure to be sure before purchasing, but most likely you will have plenty of room. The best tip I can give is to do some research on your vehicle. Check the radiator fittings and see if there are NPT (national pipe thread) fittings or Inverted flare fittings. Your vehicle...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 4.8L Towing a Travel Trailer
The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler, # D13504, would work great on your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 4.8L when towing your 6,000 lb travel trailer. This transmission cooler has an efficient plate-fin design allowing you to use a smaller size transmission cooler without sacrificing performance. This cooler does include a hose and universal adapter fitting, but if you would like a vehicle specific fitting you can use the Derale Snap-In Adapter Fitting for GM, # D13035, and...

The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13503, that you referenced, comes with everything you will need to install it on your 2010 Toyota Tundra. You will simply need to cut the 4 foot hose in half (or whatever lengths you need) that comes with and connect one to your transmission cooler and the other to the return line. • Fittings for a Transmission Cooler for a 2016 Volvo V60 Polestar
Since we haven't had the chance to install a transmission cooler on a 2016 Volvo V60 Polestar yet I am not sure what kind of fitting that your transmission cooler uses. What you can do to ensure that it fits a transmission cooler is cut the fitting off of your hose, measure your hose diameter, and then choose a compression fitting that matches the diameter of your hose. We have one for a 3/8" Line # D13032, a 5/16" Line # D13031, and a 1/2" Line # D13033. You can then filter through our...

For 3/8 inch line you will want the # D13032 and for 5/16 inch line you will need the # D13031. The cost will be listed with each product. I have linked...

  • How to Tap into Transmission Fluid Return Line on a 2012 Ford Expedition for a Transmission Cooler
The line that you will need to tap into is the transmission fluid return line. The easiest way to determine the return line on your 2012 Ford Expedition transmission is to start the truck, shift into drive but do not go anywhere. After about 15 seconds or so put the truck back in park and apply the emergency brake. Turn off the truck. Out of the 2 hoses attached to the transmission, one should be warmer than the other. The one that is cooler is the return line. You can use radiator adapter...

Transmission coolers are not vehicle-specific, so you are free to select any one that will fit into the available space in front of your air conditioning condenser. In the world of coolers bigger is better. The particular Derale cooler you reviewed, the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Class III, part # D13503, is a substantial unit that measures 11 x 8-3/4 x 7/8 inches. This will do an excellent job of cooling your Rav4 transmission. It includes the Derale Insta-Dapt radiator adapter that...

I verified with my contact at Derale that the Derale Hyper-Cool Transmission Cooler, # D15960, will work to bypass your radiator and cool your transmission fluid. One important thing to consider when installing a transmission cooler is the size of your transmission lines. • 1/2 Inch Hose Barb Fitting to Install Transmission Cooler on a 2005 Ford Expedition
We have a 1/2 inch compression fitting to go from 1/2 inch line to 1/2 inch NPT barb # D13033. I would actually have the flow go from the transmission, to the factory cooler in the radiator, then from there to the other cooler, and then to the Derale cooler before going back to the transmission. This is the normal way to install a supplemental cooler (at the end of the line). The fitting we have listed for the 2005 Ford Expedition is # D13025 which are 5/8 inch inverted flare fittings.
