A spin-on adapter allows for the external oil lines necessary to install an engine cooler or an additional, remote-mounted filter by converting your vehicle's oil filter landing into a passageway. Because the adapter installs where your filter normally is, you will have to mount your oil filter in a different location.

- What Is the Diameter of the O-Ring in the Derale Premium Spin-On Adapter Kit # D35706I spoke with my contact at Derale and he stated that the spin-on adapter, # D35706, actually comes with 2 o-rings. He also said that they measure the o-rings side to side on center, not the inner or outer diameter. The smaller o-ring measures 2-1/2 inches and the larger one is 3-1/8 inches.
