Video Transcript for Bulldog Winch Electric Winch BDW20025 Review

Today we're going to review part number BDW20025. This is the Bulldog fully assembled front wiring kit. Now this part will provide a power connection for your winch at the front of your vehicle. It is designed to fit most vehicles, for these cables to run from the battery to the front grill of your vehicle. As you can see, this section is fully assembled that fits on your vehicle. It has the two wires, both the red and the black wire and they are about 7 1/2 feet long. One is the power, one is the ground. They do come with the looped ends and the connector right here on each end to attach to your battery. The red would go to your positive post, black would go to your negative post. If you'll also notice, it comes with a nice rubber dust cover so when you go to plug in your connector from your winch you would just go ahead and plug this in, just like that. When you're not plugged in, you just put the dust cover on to help protect those terminals.

Now the wire on these, the power and the ground, is a 3 gauge wire size. Now, this kit does include the quick connector halves. There's one here that goes to your winch, the ones already attached to the vehicle. The one for the winch will also come with these two high grade copper terminals with silver plating. These are designed to accept a wire gauge size of 0 to 4 gauge. Basically what you would do is take the wires from your winch, attach it, connect it to these terminals, and then these terminals, what you do is just go ahead and slide them right in and they'll lock into place. Make sure you do the positive and negative correctly. Once you have those all connected all you'll have to do is, with this installed on the front of your vehicle, when you go to put your winch on the front of the vehicle, all you have to do is just slide those two together and they snap into place, fully weather proof over the terminals. When you're done you want to remove the winch, just unplug it, put the dust cover over the one in the vehicle and this one will be attached to the winch. It also comes with some extra cable ties to help secure any length of wire that might be hanging down, but that should do it for the review on part number BDW20025, the Bulldog fully assembled front wiring kit.

  • Front Wiring Kit Recommendation for 18.5K Bulldog Winch Heavy-Duty Series Off-Road Winch
The wiring kit I recommend using to power your Bulldog Winch Heavy-Duty Series Off-Road Winch # BDW44FR at the front of your truck is found as part # BDW20025. This comes with 2 Anderson-style connectors and 7-1/2' of wiring to reach from your battery to the front of your truck. If you don't already have a mounting plate I recommend checking out the Universal Mounting Plate # BDW20291 and using the Mounting Hardware # BDW20297 to complete your installation. • How Can I Use A ComeUp DV-6s Winch On The Front And Rear Of My 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
There is no reason that the ComeUp DV-6s Off-Road Winch - Synthetic Rope - Hawse Fairlead - 6,000 lbs, part # CU854754, could not be used on the front and rear of your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Duramax. The wire that you will be running from the front of the vehicle to the rear of the vehicle will need to be really thick wiring - winches draw a lot of power. I recommend using the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit - Quick Connect to Terminal End - 2 Gauge - 24' Long Item # BDW20207, and the Bulldog...

  • Wiring to Use an Electric Winch at the Front and Back of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
Glad to hear that you will be using the Draw-Tite # 65078 to mount the (discontinued) Superwinch Tiger Shark Off-Road Winch SW1595200 to the front of your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. To easily swap the Tiger Shark winch from the front of your Silverado to the back I recommend using the Bulldog Winch Front Wiring Kit # BDW20025 and the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit # BDW20207. The front kit has 8' of wire while the rear kit has 24' of wire which should be more than enough for your application....

  • How to Charge Truck Bed Camper Battery from Vehicle
You are on the right track to answering your question of "why isn't the battery," being charged as the reason is that the charge circuit of your vehicle just can't carry enough amperage/voltage to keep the battery charged. The reason this is the case for your new setup is most likely because your new camper has a larger battery and/or has appliances that just draw more which uses more of the battery and the current circuit just can't keep up. So the wiring of the 12 volt charge circuit...

  • Should I Use Different Leads for Anderson Winch Connectors on Front and Back of 2017 Ford F-350
I recommend running different wiring for the front and back Anderson connections for a winch on your 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty for a few reasons; the wiring is pretty hefty so you want to have really secure connections, and then if something were to go wrong with one end of the wiring you won't have to worry about the other end being affected. Since these connect to the battery via terminals it also helps to make the installation process a little more streamlined as well. I recommend...

  • Does the Winch Remote Control Module Need to Be Mounted on Top of the Motor or Can Extension Work?
The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 4,400 lbs # BDW15019 will allow you to use a thick enough gauge wire like you would find with battery cables to move the inch remote 4 feet away from the winch and still utilize the 20 foot lead and rocker switch on the remote control. If you want to use a wireless remote part # BDW20212 is available separately and would remove the need to change the transmitter control position. You can use the Bulldog Winch Front Wiring...
