Video Transcript for Bulldog Pulley Block Review

Here you can see our Bulldog power block installed on our wench. This is Part Number BDW20004. This is going to act as a snatch block, which we've talked about it around the shop here a little bit. Since it does have a bolt with a lock washer, this would be something that you could take on and off. In my opinion, this would be something a little more permanent, something we can leave on here, especially if it's just a one-guy kind of operation, leave it on there. We won't have to worry about carrying extra snatch blocks and things like that with us. To use it, we'll simply free spool our wench, draw our line out, and then we can hook our large hook on our power block.

You can see it's got a keeper on it, fully zinc coated also so it's going to resist corrosion, right to our anchor point, whether it's a tree inaudible 00:00:47 and a shackle like we've got here, or whatever that you've got picked out in your situation. Now we'll simply run that right back to our ATV or UTV. What our power pulley is going to do is effectively double the straight line pull of our wench, making it a much easier lighter duty operation. Keep in mind when using a power pulley, it will cut your line speed in half. That will complete our look at the Bulldog pulley block for powersports, Part Number BDW20004.

just what i needed for my plow

by:

hook is pretty small, barely will fit over 3/8 bolt. so make sure what ever you plan on hooking to is small. I ended up changing the hook on end to a bigger one since this would not latch onto anything I had available. i think you should be tales be able to latch onto 1/2 d-ring. once i changed the hooks out it worked as I would expect.

by:

Pulley arrived promptly and will serve to reroute a winch cable to run down the length of a loading ramp. For pulling upright pianos up and down the ramp.

Just what I needed for deer feeder great product last and tough.

  • Which Snatch Block Is Best For 5/32" Winch Wire Rope?
The Bulldog Winch Snatch Block # BDW20049 does not technically have a minimum wire size, but it does have a maximum wire diameter of 3/8". This would likely work fine with your 5/32" wire # BDW20102, however, a more appropriate snatch block for the 5/32" wire would be Bulldog Pulley Block for Powersports # BDW20004 which can handle maximum wire diameter of 1/4". This block is rated a 4,000lbs break strength and 1,600lbs working load limit which is comparable to your 5/32" winch wire that...

  • Is Bulldog Winch 2K lbs Strong Enough for 1947 Chevy Truck to Roll Up Ramp to Utility Trailer
The Bulldog Winch Utility Winch - Wire Rope - 2,000 lbs # BDW15008 has a rolling load rating of 20,000 lbs with a single layer of wire rope. That diminishes with each additional layer of rope around the drum, but it still will most likely work. The incline angle of your ramps will determine the weight capacity this will handle, so I've attached a photo to help. The best way to increase that capacity with this winch is to use the Bulldog Pulley Block for Powersports # BDW20004 to double...

The Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch w/ Remote, part # DL25001 you came from may be just what you need. This winch has a 3,000-lb load capacity and includes 25 ft of 7/32 inch diameter cable which will certainly be able to handle the machines. The included remote for this winch is mounted in or under the dash of your van. This winch comes with a 15 ft cable to attach to the positive battery post and a 5 ft cable that can be attached to the negative battery post or a suitable ground...

  • Worm Gear Winch and Hoist Recommendations to Lift a 50 Pound Kayak
At 1,500 pounds capacity worm gear winch # DL10954 is the lowest capacity available. Speed is an issue with worn gear winches because they allow for the precise movement of a load. If you used # DL11011 with a series of pulleys you could mount the winch lower and operate it with a power drill to speed things up significantly. Regarding pulling 2 lines in at the same time the preferred method would be to use pulleys and one line feeding in to the winch though you might find success using...

  • Required Battery Rating for Electric Winch Use on 1997 Flagstaff Camper
A winch or any other powered device on your truck or a battery-powered trailer jack will have a specific maximum power draw at full load. Such devices pull more power when doing more work; they draw less power when lowering and draw more power when lifting or pulling weight. Usually the power requirement for any given item will be listed on its main information plate or sticker. Once you know the maximum power requirement for the winch you can choose a matching power source that has the...

  • Need a Winch for Loading and Unloading a Car Into an Enclosed Car Hauler Trailer
The Bulldog Winch Powersports Series UTV Winch - Synthetic Rope - Hawse Fairlead - 4,000 lbs # BDW15012, that you selected is a great choice for the application that you need a winch for. This winch is designed primarily for race car trailers, open and enclosed and will control the cable feed in and out so you could stop the vehicle at any point when loading and would not have to worry about a runaway vehicle when unloading. For installing the winch in the trailer it is hard to make a...

  • How to Winch a Boat and Trailer Down a 60 Foot Hill with 35 Degree Slope
We certainly have a large selection of electric trailer winches and everything else you would need to launch and retrieve your boat but I am a bit confused on how you are trying to accomplish this. Would it be possible for you to sketch a quick diagram to further explain how you will be launching/retrieving the boat. I am also confused by how you would use a trailer hitch mounted winch plate while the boat is attached. Can you please clarify this for me so I can provide a solid recommendation....

The Bulldog Pulley Block for Powersports part # BDW20004 is designed to work with cable sizes up to 1/4". A member of our customer service team was able to confirm that with them. For that reason we changed our description to match the information we got from Bulldog.

  • Using Electric Winch to Load Ice Fishing Shack onto Trailer
Either the Superwinch Terra # SW1135230 winch with its 3500 lb capacity or the Superwinch # 1120210 LT2000 winch (I am not clear about which one you have) should be able to handle your ice shack with no problem if you use a pulley block like # BDW20004. Using a pulley block can nearly double the winch capacity, which will be necessary because you will be pulling a dead weight up an incline. You would mount the winch offset to one side of the front of the trailer, and secure a heavy duty...

  • Snatch Block/Pulley Block for Use with a 5,000 Pound Boat and Electric Winch
You can use pulley block # BDW20004 for your winching needs but it is rated at 4,000 pounds so if at any time the full weight of the boat is on the block it would exceed the capacity. For a higher capacity option I recommend # CU881081 which is rated for 6,000 pounds

  • Hand Winch for a Car Trailer and 2000 to 3500 Pound Cars
Since you are getting a car hauler trailer and will be pulling vehicles onto it that means you will have rolling loads. A rolling load is much easier to move than a static load so you do not have to have a high capacity winch. When winching a rolling load, the winch can handle more weight than its rated capacity. On level ground, a winch can pull 10 times its capacity. Even with the trailer 19 inches tall with relatively short ramps, You would still be fine with a lower capacity winch....

  • Recommended Winch to Load 4,000 lb Tractor onto Flat Bed Trailer
The Superwinch # 1120210 LT2000 you referenced would be perfect for your needs. According to my calculations, the ramps you are using have a bit more than a 40 percent grade. According to the table shown in the FAQ article I have linked you to, the Superwinch # 1120210 you referenced is capable of pulling about 4300 lbs of rolling load like your tractor up a 40 degree ramp. Since you are pretty close to the max capacity of the winch, I would recommend mounting your winch to the trailer...

I have included a link to the installation details for this winch for reference. Superwinch does have a wireless remote but it is not compatible with the LT2000. • Recommend Recovery Winch for a Kawasaki 3010 Mule Trans 4x4 Diesel
I have the perfect option that will allow you to pull your Kawasaki 3010 Mule Trans 4x4 Diesel up a 40 degree incline. As you have identified the ATV weighing up to 1,400 lbs. you will want a winch with a line pull strength of 3,500 lbs. at minimum to account for the incline. For this, I recommend using the Bulldog Winch Custom-Fit Steel Winch Mount part # BDW15121 in addition to the Bulldog Winch Utility Winch part # BDW10004. This winch has a 1.87 hp motor with a 85' long steel cable...

  • Capacity of Superwinch 3K Winch Pulling a Rolling Load Up a 30 Percent Incline
Superwinch LT3000ATV Winch - 3K Item # SW1130220 can handle 2,000 pounds on a 30 percent incline but keep in mind the higher the capacity on the winch the easier it will be on the winch. You can go up to a 4,400 pound winch # BDW15019 for not much of a price increase. But the step above that, 5,800 pounds # BDW10029, carriers a more significant increase in price. • Winch Size and Type for a Carson Deluxe Car Hauler with 5 Foot 45 Degree Ramp and 3500 Pound Car
I do not believe a hand winch is the way to go with a car hauler and a 3500 pound car. It is usually recommended that a winch have at least the capacity of the weight of the rolling load for trailer applications but the hand winch will need to be mounted above the bed and on a pedestal that will allow the handle to be rotated above and below the winch, much like a boat trailer. This would require some extensive fabrication. If you are looking for a good electric winch with enough power...

  • Hand Winch Recommendation that has a Hex Drive for a Drill
Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL15721 does not have a hex head that is fixed and would allow you to use an electric drill attachment. For that I recommend using worm gear winch # DL11001 which does have a hex drive and you can use a 5/8 inch socket attachment to power the load in or out. Worm gear winches are brake winches so when you stop turning the drum, either with the handle or a drill, it will hold the load. There is also no minimum load required. This winch can accept up to a 82 foot...

  • Pulley Block for Hauling Disabled Vehicles off Car Hauler
It sounds like you're looking for a pulley block like part # BDW20004. I would think some sort of D-ring tied into the frame of the trailer would provide a good mount for the pulley block. I looked through our selection of D-rings, and the highest capacity we offer is the # RR5K. You'd want something with sufficient capacity to handle the largest vehicle you expect to have to haul off. Since you're dealing with a rolling load, 5K should be plenty but I would be sure that the ring is tied...
