  • Can ComeUp Snatch Block be Used with 12K Badland Winch
I reached out to my contact at ComeUp and he said for your 12K Badland winch you want to go with the ComeUp Snatch Block # CU881082 as it has a weight rating appropriate for your winch. The part # CU881079 you referenced would likely accommodate the cable size but it is rated for smaller winches which is why you need the part # CU881082 instead.

  • How to Choose Winch Capacity and Parts Needed for Quick Connect Winch Wiring
Long story short, that's not going to work for you even with a double line pull using a snatch block like the # CU881079. In reality, you need at least 1.5x the GVWR of your vehicle when it comes to winch capacity. The # BDW10044 I mentioned as a better choice would be the bare minimum you'd be able to get away with and still be able to recover your 2019 Nissan Frontier from a situation that required a winch. The 6000-lb capacity ComeUp # CU854768 is not going to work with your 4700-lb...

  • Installation Recommendations of Superwinch LT2000 Winch on a Flatbed Trailer
You could put a winch in a toolbox but the winch will have to be attached to the frame of the trailer somehow, either directly or via a steel plate that spans the distance between the frame rails. The toolbox itself will not be strong enough. The line pull of a winch will have to come out straight at least 12 inches from the winch before making any turns. So because the top of the C-channel is 6 inches above the top of the frame the line would have to exit the toolbox, go out 12 inches...

  • Snatch Block For Use With Synthetic Rope
Synthetic rope can be used with the ComeUp Snatch Block for DV-9, DV-9i, and Seal Series Winches, # CU881079. The function will be the same, and your weight capacity limit will most likely fall on your sythethic rope's strength or the winch itself. The max rope diameter for this block is 3/8 inch.
