Roof Vent Replacement Recommendation for a Cargo Trailer

Hello etrailer. I have a cargo trailer roof vent I need to replace. I guess it is a simple standardinch vent but I am limited to my knowledge on these. This vent that you offer, V2092SP-29, looks to be the proper replacement. Under information, it reads that the metal lip is 16 1/2inch by 16 1/2. Does this refer to the overall outside diameter of the metal flashing with holes? Edge to edge on each side? I am asking because this is the size of my vent. Thanks for the time and patience.

The # V2092SP-29 that you referenced has overall dimensions of 16-1/2 inches by 16-1/2 inches. This includes the metal lip around the outside of the vent. This vent is designed to fit a rough cut hole of 14-1/4 inches by 14-1/4 inches. This is a pretty standard size for a roof vent and is most likely what you have so it should work. But you will want to confirm by checking the dimensions of the roof of your cargo trailer.

For your roof vent, I recommend the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent #V2092SP-29 which will let the light through and will mount to the roof only. The garnish/trim on the inside is designed for roofs between 1-7/8 and 3 inches thick. I recommend…
