Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 1998 Chevy K1500 Short Bed Truck
Question:
Looking for a gooseneck hitch to fit my 1998 Chevy k1500 short bed. I want one that mounts under the bed and has a removable ball not one that flips down

We have a couple options for gooseneck trailer hitches that will install under the bed, have a ball that does not flip down but can still be removed, and that will fit your 1998 Chevy K1500 short bed.
We have the ever-popular B&W Turnover ball, # BWGNRK1050. And Draw-Tite also has an option, # 9465-40.
All 3 of these hitches are rated for 7,500 pound pin weight and 30,000 pounds gross trailer weight. But these figures likely exceed the capacity of your truck so be sure to consult the owners manual for the towing capacity. I have linked video reviews of both hitches for you.
