how much does it cost to put a class 1 hitch on a 2009 nissan versa?

If you are talking about the actual cost of the trailer hitch then that depends on the hitch. The most cost effective hitch we carry for your 2009 Nissan Versa is the Curt Class 1 Hitch # C11348. If you are going to have the hitch professionally installed then you are looking at anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour labor charge. You would need to call around to get the going rate for labor in your area. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. You can also see the prices of any product by clicking the product page links from this page.
If you are planning on doing some towing with the vehicle please first consult the owners manual. The correct ball mount is # 3593 and it includes a pin and clip. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring use # 118545. I have linked instructions for the wiring as well.
If you want to use the hitch for something like a bike rack or cargo carrier then you will need to make sure that the accessory is compatible with a Class I trailer hitch. And for bike racks you would be limited to 2 bikes.
