Parts Needed To Upgrade From 10 Inch by 1-1/2 Inch Wide to 2-1/4 Inch Wide Brakes On 1996 Mallard
Question:
Hello, I have a 1996 Mallard 24ft camper that needs the brakes replaced. Currently it has the 10x1.5 in brakes on it, which I know you do offer the brakes themselves unfortunately I cannot resurface the drums they are beyond repair. Is there any way to convert them to 10x2.5? Please let me know. Thank You

To switch your 1996 Mallard camper from 10" x 1-1/2" Brakes # K23-472-473-00 to 10" x 2-1/4" # AKEBRK-35-SA you will need to have your axle modified. A #84 Spindle # TRU74FR is needed to fit the larger 10" x 2-1/4" Hub # 84546UC3-EZ due to the larger size bearings. It might be best to get an new Axle # 35545E-ST-89 which would come with all the correct parts for the larger brakes. This particular axle has a hub face to hub face measurement of 89" and a spring center to spring center of 74". Please let me know if you have a different size axle as I can give you another option if needed.
