Can You Carry a Scooter On the Back of a 2013 Hyundai Accent
Question:
Can I put a hitch to carry a metro scooter on my car

In order to carry a scooter on a 2013 Hyundai Accent you'd first need to install a trailer hitch and for this I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24884 which features a bolt-on installation and 200 lb tongue weight rating. This simply means the weight of the cargo carrier and cargo cannot exceed 200 lbs. That said, this does not take into any consideration the vehicle's tongue weight capacity so if this is lower (check owner's manual) then that's the figure you'll need to abide by. In order to secure your scooter onto the trailer hitch you'll need some sort of cargo carrier for which I recommend the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18110. This cargo carrier weighs about 30 lbs. It measures 19" wide x 47" long so the scooter will likely hang off just a bit but this is really your only option due to the hitch size for this vehicle.
