Best Hitch Curt or etrailer for a 2023 Ford Edge

Question:

Can you help me? I see you have both Curt and etrailer branded hitches for a 2023 Ford Edge. What are the differences, if any, and which is the best for my suv?

I would be happy to help you. Both the Curt item # C78KR and the etrailer item # e36RR are confirmed to fit the 2023 Ford Edge. These hitches are identical with the exception that the etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coat finish that offers superior rust protection. They fit all models of the 2023 Edge.

The best hitch for your Edge is going to be the etrailer Hitch item # e36RR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Edge with included hardware. They both have the same installation method and towing capacity but this one will look better when installed.

I really like the etrailer hitch because it installs behind your rear bumper and the crossbar is completely hidden. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight.

Both the Curt item # C78KR and etrailer item # e36RR hitches are made in the USA and weigh 39 lbs.

I have linked a couple of pictures below along with installation videos so you can see what these hitches look like when installed.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 118805 for the standard model or item # C73FR for the Titanium model and a ball mount kit item # C45534. The light harnesses have different connectors so make sure you don't select the wrong one. I have linked an installation video for both below.
